All that gets pretty repetitive and wannabe-ish at times. Although I did sometimes wish the Indian audience be more accepting of movies that do not belong to the masala genre but rather cater to our sensibilities.

Ok. Rant Over.

I see this movie doing 100+ business. I just wish it wasn't directed by Sajid Khan. I don't want to see his over arrogant pompous self become even more arrogant after the success of this movie. It will get even harder to tune him out.

+1 👏👏
The same people who keep on making all those snide remarks will be singing a different tune when their favourite actor does these so called low grade masala movies and keep praising how good the movie was😆
it still beats me why people want any movie to flop, Sajid Khan is the director who is arrogant etc.. but does that negate the work of each and every person of the team that has worked their arse in this project😕

Believe me guys: the same theatrical trailer of HIMMATWALA that you guys are bashing here on the internet is the same trailer that is likely being treated with claps and whistles at cinema halls in India!

^So true...Last time I went to theatre for Race 2, and ppl did most cheering at interval for Himmatwaala 😆(and ofcourse film's climax lol)

😊 Where did you see Race 2?

i personally had a different experiance, went to watch sahib biwi aur gangster 2 in a single screen, there were decent number of people in the theatre but it was a thanda reaponse to himmatwaala trailer, not a single clap, whistle or cheer, infact the audience didn't even bother to react only..

Even if it becomes an ATBB , it will remain crap. 😆
It's totally a film of single screen audiences with OTT actions, cringe worthy dialogues, colorful dance items. It will cross 100 crore easily.

from Box Office India:

Himmatwala Looking To Get The Year Going

Thursday 28th March 2013 10.00 IST

Boxofficeindia.Com Trade Network

Three months into the year and there has been no major hit and Himmatwala will be expected to put that right. Race 2 is the only film that got an opening but could not sustain, a few other films managed to sustain pretty well but as they did not open the damage was done.

Himmatwala will be the start to an interesting ten weeks where aside from Himmatwala there are other films like Ek Thi Daayan, Shootout At Wadala, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani and Yamla Pagla Deewana 2 which will all be expected to be hits.

Himmatwala is likely to put up good weekend numbers and the key will be if how well it can sustain. Circuits like UP, Bihar, Gujarat, CPCI and Rajasthan are sure to do well while Delhi and Punjab have under performed for the masala ventures with rural settings over the last 18 months. Friday is Good Friday but this holiday has not given a huge boost to collections over the last two years or so.

Basically the test will be Delhi/UP and East Punjab for the film and if it can do 10 crore and 4.5 crore lifetime share respectively in Delhi/UP and East Punjab then there will be no stopping the film as Mumbai and Central markets are sure to out perform.

From Box Office India:

Himmatwala Has EXCELLENT collections on Monday
Monday, April 1 2013 23.30 IST
Boxofficeindia.Com Trade Network

Himmatwala has thrown a pleasant surprise on Monday. Collections held up very well and the film did fantastic business all over India. Even in the North in places like Delhi/UP and East Punjab where collections were shockingly low over the weekend, have held up very well on Monday and done tremendously.

Single Screens were simply outstanding on Monday. Even at multiplexes the film showed huge growth.

There was a lot of worry on Saturday due to the collections falling heavily, but the terrific business on Monday suggests that the film will hold on very well for the long run. The film looks set to be a huge hit and 100 crore business is very likely.

Early estimate for Monday is 9 crores net, which is excellent for a Monday.
