Whether he is a changed man now or not doesnt matter. He MUST be punished for what he has done so that such thoughts never enter his mind ever again.

It is sad that he's getting punished twenty years later. Maybe he has changed, but he has to be punished. And more than him, I blame the Indian judicial system.

BI, i don't know wat u will take of my view, but imo he is a soft target...coz there r others who r the culprits,but they r scott free just coz they r some political leader or some top cop...he was in jail before also in the 90s,then they cleared his name from TADA...n now this sentence,i feel is a bit harsh...he has been caught in possession of the weapons,but its also said tat the weapons were not used in the blast...he has already served 18 mths in prison for the same,hence the 5 yrs is reduced to 3yrs...but lets see how the case proceeds

Priya...I have no idea if the punishment is harsh or not...I don't know how the Indian Judicial system works...but just because other criminals were let go free...doesn't mean that SD should be let go too...The ideal situation would be to book all of them...but we all know nothing happens to the rich and powerful in India...i was not expecting SD to be convicted either...

and dont mix two different things...u opened a topic to support sanjay dutt, n i put my views on that topic...if u want to talk about killings of innocent muslims, open another topic in a relevant forum

and killings of innocent muslims with the help of police was wrong too.
