But this is the project she initially had to refuse coz of Ram Leela. She even says so in this video, from the clip of the past when she work doing Ram Leela, that i had given a bulk date of 150 days to RL.

Oh SHIT!!! Thank you for posting this. Leading ladies always have this problem when they ahve to work with an unconventional hero. SRK even said, he was very unconventional b/c Sunny Deol-types used to be popular and SRK wasn't a muscular, karate fighting dishum-dishum hero...he was the romantic. But the fact that he is unconventional helped open doors for many other unconventional looknig heroes. Emmy is a great example of this. Rani, PC, Kareena all rejected the role opposite him and a few blockbusters later he's working with the A-list of leading ladies. Times a changing and I love it!

Well even Aamir and Salman weren't muscular looking when they debuted but at least they were pretty faces and better groomed, especially Aamir. 😆 The heroines mostly had a problem because SRK wasn't good looking at all with his scrawny built, out of control hair, etc...he didn't fit in muscular stuff like Sunny Deol and wasn't pretty boy cute like Aamir either. 😆

But I agree, Emraan's rise reminds me of SRK's in that sense too. All the A-lister heroines didn't wanna work with him because of his image & now look! Vidya's done back to back films with him, Kareena got Deepika replaced to do this film..and all the big PH's are signing him too.. 👏

I still cannot believe King Khan was rejected by all these main actresses...he shut them all up like a BOSS 😃

@choco: I blame SRK's moppy hairstyle, with a good haircut, he so proved he's quite handsome and pretty sexy too. Or at least I thought so. Maybe I saw DDLJ way too many times when I was younger, but I thought he was way cuter than Aamir or Salman. 😆 I hoenstly love him in s scruff though...he was bad-ass hottie in Chak De India. Like I wanted to marry him so badly when I saw him in CDI...slight facial hair is so his look.

Agreed Hetal...SRK looked soo much better with a hair cut...loved his hair in KKHH...seeing him there my dil goes hmmm 😳

Even Emraan looks much better with the beard and sexy in those glasses (in TDP)

What about those girls who may not be as good-looking, but want to become an actor? Do you see these stars "launching" those girls? They all get a say in who their heroine is, but the heroines rarely do.

Are you sure?! Cuz ETD was offered to Rani and then PC and then Kareena. I really thought that since the first 2 rejected it that's why Kareena rejected it. She was hesitant to work with Emmy, who at the time was still considered a 'B-grade' hero and working opposite him wouldn't help her professional.

It still sucks that it took Emmy so long to get to this spot that he is today, but better now than never so YAY!

I do too 😆 His hair was one out of control mess at that time! I thought he was "cute" in parts of DDLJ, but DDLJ was more about his charm than his looks for me. Actually I remember watching DDLJ again a while back, and I was like yikes both SRK-Kajol are so bad looking in this film! 😆 I don't think I actually thought he was good looking until KKHH happened and he was much better groomed with the haircut. 😆 After that he consistently looked good in his films...but gotta agree CDI was SEXY! After that he killed his looks with whatever crap he did for OSO. He works the stubble well and he doesn't look as old with it either..

Exactly! Some folks take longer to get there than others, but they still get there! Emraan's been consistent and he's only rising! His future films all look pretty interesting and if things work out well then he will grow from here :D
