One of the best dancers ever seen in bollywood? Please, she's a hard working dancer and can even dance well in some songs but one of the best bollywood has ever seen? One of bollywood's best would be the likes of Madhuri Dixit and Waheeda Rehman and Katrina is no where even remotely close to them. Dancing is not just about moving your body- the grace with which you carry the dance, the class and the most important- THE EXPRESSIONS, Katrina lacks them, sorry. Her face is expressionless in all her dance numbers and that is the biggest put off for me, expressions are a huge part of dance. Look at Madhuri, it's a PLEASURE to see her dance, and that's not just because she dances well but also because her expressions, her grace- she makes it look so natural and effortless. Katrina is a good dancer (even though I find her a bit manly in a lot of her songs) but definitely not one of the Bollywood's best, she has a LONG way to go before she can be called that. Shaking your assets isn't a problem but the way she does it and to top that her expressionless face are the problems. And she only really sticks to that, she needs to try other dance forms to be even thought of being called one of bollywood's best.

but they were all-round dancers...they could do any type of dance effortlessly...

like i mentioned earlier...katrina is only good in western dances...her traditional is weak...if u take madhuri and sri, they have some amazing traditional folk numbers, classical dancers, sexy numbers, hiphop, jazz and whatnot to their credit...

katrina just shakes shakes shakes 😆 no doubt she shakes amazing...but thats all she does well...

i found ishq dance really good but the main purpose of that piece wanted to make herself, SRK and the audiences horny. 😆 the focus was more on her thrusts than her dance 😛

I think you being completely unfair here.

The only indian dance forms katrina has done is chikni chameli(tapori dance form) and rafta rafta(punjabi movements). She did amazingly well in those two songs and got acclaim for them. She has not done indian classical dancing till now so how can you say she is weak in indian dance form?

I don't blame katrina for not doing indian traditional dancing yet because not many such movies are being made today. Which current actress has done dance forms like madhuri did?

On the other hand Katrina has excelled in western dance forms and middle eastern dance forms. She has done a variety of international dance forms. With Dhoom 3 she is doing acrobatic dancing etc. She is one of the few actresses who is always trying to do something different with her songs.

first of all...i said katrina is weak in traditional dances...i did NOT say she is weak in classical...there is a difference...

secondly...i didnt bring up any other current actress in my post...i only quoted about madhuri and sri devi, and said they used to dance effortlessly no matter what dance form they did...i did not say any other current actresse can dance like madhuri...

sure she hasnt gotten the chance to do classical yet, but knowing how weak her indian traditional dance is, i can just imagine her classical...for classical dances, hands and expressions are key...and well we all know about katrinas expressions, lets not go there...and since u asked about other current actresses...let me me say here..deepika did indian classical in oso, kareena tried her hands on it too tho she failed...shes even tried mujra...vidyas done classical...how well they performed is a different story all together...but they have done it...so please dont say those movies arent being made these days...they are!

as for her traditional (NOT classical)...her chikni chameli sucked, it was all shake shake shake...with no expressions...and her bhangra was horrible sorry...that was not bhangra im sorry...that was a failed attempt at trying to do light bulb dance...im a punjabi and can do bhangra really well...ask my team about katrinas bhangra and they'll rip her apart...im still being nice...😳

im not being unfair...im being real...i didnt deny that her western dances are amazing...i said she does them really well...but she definitely is weak in other dance forms...therefore she cannot be labeled as one of the best dancers...shes alright...its like...someone is sooo amazinggg in indian classical and tradional folk...but they suck in contemporary jazz locking...that doesnt meant they are horrible dancers...they just arent all-round dancers...but they arent "one of the best dancers" either no matter how excellent they are in their forte...

i dont hate katrina, nor do i adore her...i neutral towards her...but im definitely not unfair im sorry...

I don't mean to compare Madhuri and Katrina but seeing Madhuri the dancer and Katrina the dancer in the same "one of bollywood's best dancer" category worked me up.
