These guys from TV, they do not really groom themselves. grooming does not just mean shedding 10 Kg in 2 months and taking shirt off. or for the ladies stop eating and look skeletan and put on god awful tacky clothes.

the way they speak, their diction , their real life attitude are very downmarket to be honest. And they refuse to learn.
the way they bitch about others when they themselves have terrible fashion choices, their close minded ness is a big turn off.

All of the bold describes all the star kids as well... 😆

I didn't know that paying your way through school and college, being unable to think for yourself, and having your life dictated by your famous parent is considered "upmarket." Also, all of the negative things you mentioned - speaking, diction, attitude, talking about others, being close-minded - all of them apply to those who were raised within bollywood. Without their mentors they would never know what to say or what to wear; in fact, despite those mentors most of them still cannot manage to present themselves well. They regularly have their feet in their mouths and make ridiculous statements. As people they are no classier than anyone else in the rest of the country. Very few of them actually have any class.
At least television actors have it in them to make it out of their towns and into comfortable careers. Even if they don't have the best English, "high class" standards, or the fanciest wardrobes, I think it's commendable that they achieve so much.

I did... you said a few are only classy because they don't do the work others do. Doesn't change anything.

...I see Kavi Shastri was mentioned here. 😆
My theory on why YRF hasn't given Kavi, or even Viraf Patel, a big debut in films in a lead role. They have it all, looks, talent, X-factor, intelligence, fun personality etc...BUT they don't suit mainstream Bollywood. I just can't even imagine them playing the typical BW roles for men. With Kavi's accent, as hot as it is, he will not appeal to the masses and I don't think you can become a big huge star unless you appeal to the masses also =/
Still, I hope they can get good offers to make it like Emraan at least.

Also Siddant karnick. But see nowadays varied kinds of movies are made. who thought VD would be such a runaway hit? and MW, R.com, were such nice soaps and good thing was not exasperating daily soaps.

Who's Siddant Karnick?
Yes they are, but still the mainstream Bollywood folks are all the same...only Arjun is unconventional, but he's a star son. ...and to be BIG like the Khans became, you have to appeal to the masses...truth be told, Kavi and Viraf are almost too spophisticated...am I making any sense here? Sorry its been along week 😆
They were really good TV shows. But sadly, bad slots (seriously how are you EVER going to get any TRP's on a Wednesday at 11 PM?), bad publivity, + no saas-bahu stuff = no TRPs. 🥱

he was in mahi way, isshan and later the evil vampire in PKYEK.

arjun is not really unconventional, not even ranveer, I think none of them her unconventional per se. They all somehow fit in the mould.

I get what u mean by too sophisticated.😆

yeah we beat this issue to death in the soap opera thread how historical or mythologicals even cannot escape saas bahu trap.

the tv actors people so vehemently defend get BIG heads after their first show is successful; they call themselves number 1 show ke hero heroine; they act obnoxiously, throw tantrums, refuse to shoot, leave their shows midway for bollywood, refuse to be part of leaps. they starve themselves to death and call anyone w curves obese.

if you talking of star kids please mention a few star kids who have quit their movies for bigger projects or who have starved themselves to death; or who have called themselves 100 crore club ki hero or heroine. they are so well groomed, have amazing fashion sense, show respect and work hard. If all star kids made it why is jacky bhagnani nowhere compared to RK. Why did Varun Dhawan work as an AD for MNIK and not do a movie with his dad? Why did Sonam assist SLB? why did sonakshi lose weight for dabangg?

find me ONE interview where a star kid has said main 100 club ki heroine hoon, or mujhe audi car mein auditions dene jaana parta hai, or abhishek is so dark we will need a torch to see him OR mocked fans by saying haee mere pati pe nazar hoti hai unn churailo fangirls ki. show me one star kid who talks like a mumbai ki gundi or who cant speak good english.

I can name TV stars who have made all these comments and more.

Rajeev was smart in his choices, he may not have become a successful commercial actor, but he is talented, and def underrated! Critics seem to love him, and his debut was good!
