BTW the Ramola Sikand show introduced reincarnation where she killed the leads and they were reborn. As is the usual case with reincarnation in desi cinema, they were played by the same actors. Okay. However, the heroine had actually undergone a plastic surgery long ago and the face which she had when she died was not her original face. Somehow she still had that same face after being reborn. Such is the power of plastic surgery: it changed her face for two lives! 😆

Gopi bahu and Ahemji managed to do it for almost one year.Same case in Ahem's sister.
This happens in almost all the soap operas.😆

Most of the Indian soap operas and their fans are insanely ridiculous. To an extent that this topic will be soon closed after the mods getting 50,000 reports on hurting phan sentiments! 😃😆


On topic, I like the way they present normal human beings in the shows. Even the housemaids will be having flawless face and lipstick on. Even when cleaning vessels they will be displaying their manicured nails. And I also like the way these actors and actresses come out of the shower with full make up and completely blow dried hair!😆

I absolutely agree with everything that's being mentioned. Some of these dramas are so OTT I swear, for example DABH IMO it did start off well and now the whole Swami episode is dragging on so much, they always have to add villains because without it there'd be no drama...but the story is meant to be focused on her wanting to become an IPS officer but they keep dragging that away and adding more new story lines which is getting ridiculous.

I just hated it when serials would reveal something shocking for example, "Urmila & Rashi planned Jigar's rishta to break off so that Rashi could marry him" they always show every single person's face which is so hilarious...it makes the drama so slow. And yeah adding to Kusum...drama started off well but I hated it when they went forward and when they changed Kusum drama went bizarre. I personally liked Kutumb though, although second season of it was sad and they made Gauri into an evil person -_-

Kasauti Zindagi Ki was stupid. The amount of leaps they had! I mean come on...Prerna, Anurag and Mr Bajaj becoming grandparents even though they looked even more younger! KSBKBT was another daft drama as well...can't believe Baa never died in that drama lol...what weird logic! KGGK was funny as well.

Dunno if anyone checks out the dramas from Sahara One but Piya Ka Ghar Pyara Lage is slow!!!!!!! Sanjeeda Sheikh talks like a tortoise literally...they all walk slowly, and they do everything in slow motion. Yeh drama hai ya ek tortoise ka kahani? Tujh Sang Preet Lagai Sajna is stupid as well...typical same old crap -___-

Oh don't get me started on Saathiya what a daft drama...it started well but then the whole kalakari of Urmila and Rashi is BORING🥱 keep repeating the same old thing...they don't learn anything! Ahem and Gopi...it took a long time for them both to love each other 😆 and look Kinjal and Dhaval JI 😛😆 have started their prem kahani but bechari...🤡 that other girl still is in it which creates misunderstandings...

EHMMBH is another stupid drama. That Sweety trying to be extra sweet but now she's become a bad woman as well!🤢 Some of these dramas are ridiculous. And I still watch them all!😆

Oh yeah speaking of more dramas...Geet, Madhubala, DMG, some dramas I actually enjoyed watching but now all of them were a piece of crap, DMG started off well but then sudden change of Riddhima made me stop watching it and Geet well...the whole "Maahi" theme song was ANNOYING! Most of these theme tunes are frigging annoying! Tere Deewane, Rabba Ve, Maahi etc etc all are annoying pieces...and phangurls actually drool over it?🤢 I mean come on...even I can make better pieces of music without it being annoying!

Even the Colors dramas are annoying now. Ballika Vadhu started off well, I don't watch it now but of course Anandi and her sis in law don't get along...Sasural Simar Ka is daft as well, they all make your head go like 🤪😡 no but seriously...some of these dramas seem to me like as if they are running out of ideas...and I agree those dramas from back in the day were much better in terms of quality. Now it's like trying to portray "nayi soch" but literally are they?

Pratigya was another drama that was a huge let down...I mean come on she married him and started loving him...😕...Maryada was alright as well although I didn't watch every episode since it came on quite late.

Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahin was good but sometimes it dragged on and hated the whole episode where Armaan starts hating Jassi and I still have that image of Armaan pushing Jassi...on their wedding day or summat?

I love Asian shows.
Watch Korean drama''Full House''.Such a cute romantic drama
Japanese drama ''One litre of tears''..It is sad but liked it.Both are damn good
Most of asian shows are less than 20 episodes

To add to the topic: another ridiculous thing in desi soaps is the bahu-switch-at-mandap scenario. The original bride is missing so someone else is put in her place for the sake of the family 'izzat'. Sometimes the in-laws are part of the plan. The poor groom does not realize until it's too late. Sometimes they even consummate without him realizing who it is he is sleeping with. 🤪

@ruky : did you watch pkyek? It started off so well! And THEN...kekta started concentrating more on bade acche...I mean come on sabko 'bade' acche lagte hai but do not neglect ur other works!
shame how the dark love story of a vampire and human was converted into some kids' fantasy magical show with so much nonsense 🤢
The cast was amazing. They could have done brilliantly provided they had any script!

Watching an Indian soap means you are watching something absolutely OTT, crazy and something that defies all logic at all possible levels ...thats a given disclaimer they come with ...i think even escapism cannot be used to defend the stuff they show most of the time ...Contract marriages and the i sleep on bed u sleep on sofa tales and the everyday heavy saree and jewellery is such a put off in my opinion..BUT sometimes they can be a good source of entertainment in more ways than one😆
