A friend works at the Spastics society in Bangalore. She mentioned yesterday about some insensitive comments by SRK at the Filmfare awards. She said there was an outrage there at the society regarding couple comments made about the deaf/mute and the autistic.

Her question was, in the name of humor are the celebs and the audience losing sensitivity?

I have not watched the awards. The ones who have watched the awards... what exactly did he say? Did you feel it was insensitive or did you feel it was just humor and shouldn't be taken seriously.

When Pritam went to get the award for Barfi..SRK was joking why Pritam accepted to do Barfi...because it had one character that was deaf and dumb...and the other character was autistic...so he thought that this movie is going to be a hit...I don't remember the exact words...but it was on these lines...and I don't think he was making fun of the handicapped...but rather the mentality of the BW stars...that if a movie is made with unconventional characters it will get acclaim...This is what I understood...

Thats what i have been talking about, A disabled character automatically means a hit/actor acclaim in bollywood regardless of the content. Mera aur SRK ka mind kitna milta hai 😆

Sometime ago a girl was slapped in a show and everyone was like Women Violence, Discrimination and they took it to the rape scene.

I mean o bhai kya larkon ko kabhi chamaat nahi parha shows main? Every Ekta serial has had a guy beaten up but no one said anything 😆

People should learn to chill and take real actions against criminals or do some help for the disabled people rather than just over reacting to virtual things.

I remember...someone had slapped a woman anchor ...I have seen that clip...that anchor slapped the boy first...but when the boy returned the slap ...all hell broke loose...he was beaten badly...talk about hypocrisy...the girl slaps the boy its fine...but the boy can't return it...I am not saying that he did the right thing...but atleast if u are going to blame someone...atleast see who started it...🤢
