On topic, why does this even matter? Everyone has their own niche and they all do their jobs. Salman makes his 100 cr. movies and Ranbir tries new things and surprisingly for Bollywood actors, actually acts!

Some wanna learn it some don't . But that could also be to the fact that in Bollywood dancing physique looks comedy swagger all are as important as the acting . So different people focus on different things .

i dont think Ajay was or is a big star, he is not on-par with the Khans, so Ranbir being ahead of him, really means nothing.

Radhe bhai teri baat main dum hai. But ek point yeh bhi sun lo na... the actors who are above him have 10-20 years more time in the limelight. They've had a longer time to build a solid fan base so obviously now their films are going to be hits (especially 3 khans) companies want them to endorse their products also and with this they are always in tbe public space so people are always talking about them. This is what causes longevity also.

As for you comparison of salman and ranbir debut salman came at a time when there was a big gap in the market they wanted to see a chocolate boy action hero and so he gave them what they wanted. Ranbir entered at a time when the market was saturated and the older heroes are still ruling the roost. Salman had a free hit and ranbir was bowled a googly in close fielding conditions.
