@Maroon Prosche... I am not sure where u get this idea from there are lot of wrong films u have put as pro India 'Crap'... Ardh Satya is about corruption and a hard hitting movie against corruption and om puri was brilliant in it... and it is a definitely well deserved award.. where is that 'Pro India' as you are calling it and crap???? Daman - is about marital violence... Rudaali is about professional mourners... Is your opinion of calling thse movies crap formed after watching them... almost all the people in your list are people who won it for a defining role... and at least half of them has nothing Pro India about it... what was Pro India about Chandni Bar? and there are more than 3/4th of the awards u have left out from regional films... I dont think you should make half baked assumptions... except for few instances like Saif Ali Khan for Hum tum ... national award has gone to extremely deserving people... just bec ause they aren't as famous as the Khans does not make them any less deserving...

Did SRK deserve it for Baazigar? CDI and Swades are just class apart but wasn't Baazigar one too if we solely take SRK's acting? He was such a powerhouse of talent, what a powerpacked performance by him. We all supposed to dislike him if not hate but the vulnerability showed by SRK was commendable, many people along with Priya were crying over Ajay's death. I hv watchd it just yesterday so maybe I still have the hangover but seriously SRK in that movie was beyond perfection. He switched b/w his good and bad sides with so much ease. But yes as said I still hv the hangover so am nt sure if it was National award winning performance

tis a possibility...u know...no matter how brilliant the khans are in whtever films, someone else tht year was probably better in a lesser known marathi, bengali, gujrati, tamil or Malayalam film...

These aren't popularity awards that any tuchha can win it. These are not based on popularity, not produced for tv, handed by the government of India and only the best of the best ever win it.

SRK and Salman have never had good enough performances to even be considered, never mind winning them.
