Yeah, the name sounds familiar, but nothing else came to my head.
What was it about? Politics like usual? 😆

His Aparahan, Gangajal were good...Rajneeti was also fairly good, barring the last 20-30 minutes with all the politicians out on the streets killing each other. No matter what, you won't ever find any politician picking up the gun himself to shoot someone. But then, Rajneeti also drew heavily from The Godfather and the Mahabharata...it's kinda hard to totally screw it up when you draw inspirations from such classics especially given the names involved in the film (barring Katrina).

Though, most of his films are kinda similar to each other. Satyagraha looks like a rehash of Rajneeti and Aarakshan for now, ie not that interesting. Aarakshan's problem was also that it ventured from the topic of reservations into how Indian education system is a business now...it was like watching two different movies. 😕 Hopefully, he's more careful about Satyagraha.

[/QUOTE not much!it was abt how cops, politicians are corrupted and how relatives, chamchas of politicians can get away with rape, murder, any type of crime !ajay played an ACP and he was the one who didnt give a damn abt them ! It was kind of a singham with much serious content, not a clown director and certainly no OTT actions/villains !

That does sound good.
And glad there werent any cars flying around 😆
I've noticed directors kinda lose their focus after a few movies. Almost as if the bigger canvas is too much for them to handle.

That's what I said as well.
That the bigger the canvas, the more messy the screenplay becomes. And I've noticed that with directors who gave a great first film and then screwed it up by trying to cram too much into one movie.

JP Dutta did that with LOC
Sriram did that with Agent Vinod
Madhur did that with Heroine

So all our posts got shifted here... For a second I thought I was losing my mind when 2-3 posts disappeared. 😆

Yeah, sometimes things go wrong. Perhaps with bigger names, more success, directors become more complacent or get "Bollywooditis" as I call it...😆 Hopefully they've learned from their mistakes and focus more on their scripts. With Jha, one of my bigger worries is that he makes too many films too close to each other. I'm almost worried about Dhulia singing on too many films post PST too. I don't mean that they should take 5 years to make 1 film, but I get slightly worried when there's 5 films in like 2 years.

they indeed 😆
only there are few directors like sujoy ghosh, anurag basu who started badly and later turned out good but other than that almost all great directors who had a terrific start lost their touch at sum point

when they announced the movie it was said its inspired frm Anna Hazare andolan

that Time Kejriwal was with Anna

so I assume AB sr is playing anna Hazare , Ajay is playing kejriwal and i assume Kareena is playing young version of Kiran bedi ( Film demand , young girl for hero 😆 )
