With a dance script, it's hard not to be predictable. In almost every dance movie I've seen, it's been the underdog or lower society people who've come out strong and won something big.

It's very clich but I think that's hard to avoid. I was hoping Remo would put in little stories of each of the characters themselves to spice it up. I'm glad that people praised Punit. Out of all of the dancers, I think he really comes across as a good actor.

But as one of the reviews said, "Remo deserves a special pat for bringing out some of the finest talents on one platform."

I'm glad someone made a proper movie on dance in India. It was much delayed! Kudos to Remo for this attempt!

But that wasn't an out and out dance movie!

He was struggling to become an actor. Even Dil Toh Paagal Hai was first a romantic story and then there was the whole play-dance thing. Aaja Nachle was more about dance and it's a great movie to watch and re-watch with family but it was really lacking in the dance area - apart from the title track, there wasn't much dance the movie had to offer.

Remo's got amazing talent recruited in the movie! They're so raw and young right now. It's a refreshing change. And it's in 3D!

ABCD Opening Update.

ABCD has surprised everyone by taking a decent start at the box office. It is even surprising because it is showing on par occupancy with Special 26 which has also released today and an Akshay Kumar starrer film. ABCD has registered an occupancy of 30% on average for the Morning Shows. ABCD is carrying good report and should show jump with the day progressing.

ABCD is carrying good buzz among the youth. It is special film as it is a Dancing movie and is a new concept in Bollywood. Plus, it is first Bollywood Dancing movie to released in 3D. ABCD stars Prabhudeva, Kay Kay Menon, Ganesh Acharya in lead roles and many real life talented Dancers. Film is directed by Dancer/Choreographer Remo. Wait for more updates on ABCD opening.

ABCD takes fantastic opening... youth flocking to plexes whereas Special26 is lackluster, need good WOM to boost collections.

ABCD Opens Better Than Special Chabbis

ABCD opened better than Special Chabbis all across India. The opening at places was much stronger despite Special Chabbis having star value in the form of Akshay Kumar although the film is not really the type expected from mass star like Akshay Kumar. On average the collections of Special Chabbis were around 30% while ABCD opened at around 60%. ABCD had no star cast but the youth across India has come for it in a big way.

ABCD is 3-D film which would have helped the film in terms of initial collections. Special Chabbis may pick up as the day goes along as its not an initial film. Normally these types have better collections after 6pm. It will be interesting to see which film comes out on top at the end of the day but it seems that ABCD will have the edge on day one at least.
