I think 2012's low budget films sorta changed the game so to speak. Now Kareena, PC, and some of the younger actresses to an extent want to do those meaty roles. Kat obviously can't do them without making the audience burst into laughter.

Plus Sonakshi and the like also want to gyrate to item songs too. So yeah, Kat's losing her meal ticket.

The only thing that could change this is the audience. If they don't care if she does the same old, then she could actually last😕

I recall in 2008-2009-2010 we had a number of smaller films(A wednesday,Rock On, Aamir, Dev D, LSD,PEEPLI live, Udaan,) do well but it really didn't change anything. I doubt any actress will really prefer to do meaty part in small film rather than smaller part in huge film. But we will see.

They did, but I feel in 2012, there was a greater amount of those small budget movies that made a difference. That, the unique storylines that were in those films, Vidya Balan's hype, and Sridevi's reentry. That's collectively where I see this interest in meaty roles from.

Most of the actresses would want meaty roles, but definitely from a big film. Bebo and Deepika are sorta shifting into that direction. Anushka also wanted to be known for her work too (and unfortunately not her face😆) Vidya and PC are already there, and were recognized last year.

As by meal ticket, I mean Kat being in movies in general. She's a smart one, making a career out of all of this.
