Chaahat (1996) SRK and Pooja - Why did it flop?!

This has got to be one of the most underrated movies of the 90's, especially the most underrated movie of Sharukh's career, i loved this film, one of my favorites growing up. Plus i had a big crush on Pooja 😳

Up untill i joined this forum i always thought it did well, everyone loved it from who i knew, but after joining this forum i found out it flopped? Shocking for me as i loved it.

My question is this, why do you think it flopped? it had it all for me, a great storyline, love and comedy, AMAZING songs, and to top it of it had Sharukh who was shit-hot in the 90's.

whats your thoughts on this film?

Zindagi Ji was cute and i agree it wouldn't sound too good if it was said in a film from todays era, but then again most 90's romantic movies had cheesy stuff that wouldn't sound cool in this day and age.
