SriDevi's voice? Is that her real voice? I have seen a couple of old movies of hers and my mom is forcing me to watch English Vinglish with her. It will air on Zee TV I think. However that voice of hers...it's shrilly...but that's not the only reason I can't take it seriously. It's shaky...then again that's also not the only reason...there's something else which makes me go "Are you forrealz?". I can tolerate Hema Malini's voice and her accent over this. The voice modulation takes away from the credibility of her acting...in my view at least.

It is her real voice, unfortunately. And I agree, it's annoying at best.

Kill me, but I kind of like it. (Although there are times, it could be annoying. Depends on the role).

More than the voice, it's her diction that is annoying. She's been working in this industry for so many years, yet she can't pronounce words right or speak fluently. Sridevi, Asin, Deepika and Hema Malini are the worst Hindi speaking South Indian actresses.

Oh Asin and Deepika's accent suck, be it English or Hindi. We can't target Katrina Kaif when the Indian born and bred actors are unable to get the diction right. I think you're right , the voice becomes even more unbearable when she can't pronounce words convincingly.
