i liked the anushka part.. katrina part was hell boring..

those werent my only issues with the movie, but yes...tht entire concept of meera "leaving" samar for samar being alive rings hollow to me...

im perfectly fine with the notion of giving up something u love to get something else of greater value...lots of my family members do it...and its a common practice in india to go to temples and decide to "leave" something u love if u want something...more importantly, it involves leaving material things like giving up on food, using a certain gadget/facility etc etc (like how ppl say they will walk to the temple barefooted, or will leave their fav food item)...the notion does not involve giving up on real people or giving up on relationships...tht defies the whole purpose of it and frankly puts a very self centered spin on it because u are dictating someone else's life and making their decisions (and harming them in the process) for ur own happiness and peace of mind...relationships should be based on mutual respect and because she was selfish enough to make such a strong decision to end their relationship without even consulting the other person shows she has no respect for him and is just concerned abt her beliefs, her life, her peace of mind etc etc...

furthermore the fact tht she vowed never to see his face because she couldnt bear the trauma of him not being alive (and therefore, her not being able to spend her life with him) is pretty contradictory...it all just seems to shallow for me to believe they had any kind of deep love or intense passion for each other...

I loved the movie...the story and everything about it Sania...mera toh saara paisa vasool ho gaya ...ticket ka aur popcorn ka...

Anushka was the only good thing about the film.

Yash chopra in credits was the best thing in the whole film

i agree...wht irked me the most abt the relationship tht meera just seemed like a selfish girl...samar's anger was justified and he should have infact gotten married to akira instead or found someone else beause i really dunt see the point of him "waiting around" for a girl like her who never gave him any respect or let him have a say in their relationship...
