OMG 😲 I am honestly surprised to see all the responses (and glad too😃)

Seriously I was expecting that friends and members will scrutinize me for criticizing these awards and call me negative or whatever to criticize everything ... but I am really and pleasantly surprised that almost all of us thinks alike about these half dozen award tamashas every year.

Infect I am surprised and glad that members r so matured rooting for innovative creative ideas and have good taste in appreciating the innovative and new things that many of you have stopped watching them a couple of years ago.

I tried and actually watched all of them until the last year and I got bored to death watching same old wine in new bottle.

And to be very honest iss baar koi bhi award dekhnay ko dil hee nahi chaah raha...and I think I won't watch any of them, due to the core repetitiveness and utter boredom.

Really glad to know we all thik alike 😃 ... what should be done... what major changes should be made...

I think one thing they can do is to include as many movies as much, and not just focusing 3 to 4 boxoffice hits for all the categories.

anymore suggestions plz ?
😊

I watch them for fun on a weekend evening..but dont take them seriously !!! but indian cinema is in serious need of an awards with credibility...like something film makers should aspire too...like oscar !!!!!

And also the organizers should see the recent golden globes and see how award functions can be fun...but with class !!!

and winners should watch jodie fosters speech...

Another fact I can think of is the lowering standard of Bollywood... since last many years especially post 2000, very few films have been made by heart unlike in the past, most are like lifeless factory products of those corporate sector that ruined the soul of our real Hindi cinema...

where r the days of pakeezah, mughal e azam, mother india...and lets not talk even about these classics, where are even the days of saajan, darr, anjaam, chalbaaz, chandni, Lamhe, hum aapke hain kaun, dil wale dulhanya ley jaynegay, andaz apna apna, rangeela, Kaun, damini, ghayal, dil hai ke manta nahi, sadak, maine pyar kiya, etc etc that were made by heart and soul and are still fresh in the minds.
The corporate sector post 2000 turned Hindi cinema into just a plastic business, and snatched its soul & creativity out of it...where are those individual producers jo shouq aur pooray dil say film banatay thaey, and not just for minting money.

I tried hard but dont find any memorable film post 2000 except a lagaan, munnabhai or swades that I will want to watch again and will remember...and I am talking about that last 13 years...

phewww... the multiplex culture, making films like factory products due to corporate culture just crushed the soul of our beautiful hindi cinema...where r the melodious tunes and heart touching movies disappeared...

so I guess that's one of the major reason to loose interest in the awards too if the films lost their soul...

Sure we r getting 100 + cr movies... but where is the quality... in the gutter... who will remember these plastic movies like after 5 years, unlike we still cherish 70's 80's and even 90's movies.
what you think about this aspect friends ?

Stopped watching these so called awards since last year. too many have cropped up and they have become a joke rather than being a representation of appreciation for good performance
