Disclaimer: My thread is not at all based upon the genuineness or fairness of awards as everyone has their own mindset and individualistic opinion, but the thread is mainly about the MONOTONOUS of every award function, seems like we are watching the same thing several times every year:

* Same saari clad overly made Rekha

* Same awards to a select few 3 to 4 films based mainly on boxoffice performance (most of the time) leaving behind the 200 other movies that were made during that year.

* Same pattern of repetitiveness of similar movies and faces (except stardust...that frankly does not makes much sense due to loads of weird categories)

* Same half naked anglo Indian semi nude dancers

* Same plasticity & fake smiles everywhere

* Same rotten jokes on the previously made movies

* Same insulting of actors/actresses in the name of fun

* Same routine naach gaana and a one socalled tribute

and so on...

I don't know exactly what needs to be changed but all these half dozen of award functions are in the DIRE need of a MAJOR change. Some new creativity, out of the box ideas, different presentation, various criteria for awards, different setup...

in a nutshell the award functions seems to be STUCKED BIG TIME in a same cycle imo, and needs a major changeover/makeover or different way of presenting them altogether with innovative ideas and criteria.
The whole setup of all these awards is crying THIRST loudly for a major change to make them fresh, interesting, innovative and something new to watch for.

What's your feedback on this please ?

I don't watch any of them anymore...not unless there is something that really interested someone. Like this time, I only watch VD's performance on both the awards that have aired so far because people really liked them. But other than that I don't bother.

Yes I do watch the award shows...especially if SRK is hosting...do not care for the awards though...just the other stuff like dances and all...
Actually I do not watch any Hindi soaps or reality shows(other than BB) ...so I do not overdose on these stars and their dances etc in general...so I don't mind watching the award shows...The parts I find boring I just fast-forward...

I agree, they are very repetitive. The content is basically the same every time! Although they have humour and all, but just insulting the actors, directors, movies, not good, this reminded me of a meme I saw on fb
But I do watch them sometimes for performances!

Never really had an interest in awards functions. The only reason i watch it is because of the performances and to find out who wins best actor/actress.😆 Other than that, it's repetitive and boring.

Oh and the lame jokes are recycled and abused in every function. Same implication - just portrayed a tad bit differently. 🥱
