A good interview: Cinema is always seen as an escape route for people from their day to day life...

This is what I love about him.
Saif knows how to take the most controversial questions and answer them so well

He knows how to answer - that I have to give him

But I disagree. Until men are objectified like women in bollywood and the playing field is not level; cinema is responsible in some way.

Hey, John's leading the way to that revolution.
He's already bared his bottom, loves baring his top. Change is on the way.

It has started but men have not been objectified.

I agree with Saif totally. But what I do find somewhat hypocritcal is when some folks don't blame Bollywood for whatever's happening but I see Television shows being blamed all the time on Bollysection about how the guy holds the girl's hands etc. Either both are responsible or let's not just keep blaming Television because if that is going to be done then Bollywood films too have there fair share of criticism to take then.

Also, I don't agree with Saif on the bit that films can't help in raising social awareness. Yes, films are an escapist medium but making films that help in social awareness once in awhile isn't bad too.

Oh and lol Saifu, only 1-2% people don't watch Bollywood movies in India. lol. Yes, the %age is low but not THIS low. 😆 Also, yeah people who think about making more theatres available in places which don't have will certainly earn money but then again, will people living in such places be able to afford the price of the ticket these days? That's a thought to ponder upon too Saifu. The prices will differ largely from what the prices that are in cities which have theatres and then probably a lot of these people might think they can't make as much profit and maybe not open up theatres? Cause let's face it, most people first love gaining profits for themselves and then think about others.
