he was famous: Akshay Kumar

Snoop Dogg has
finished his
two-city tour in
India recently.
But this wasn't
the first time
that the rapper
connected with
his desi fans.
He first collaborated with Akshay
Kumar for the movie Singh is
Kinng. The duo shot for a video
for the movie that was aired
when the credits rolled at the
end of the movie. For the video
both - Snoop Dogg and Akshay -
sported turbans.
Talking about the collaboration,
Akshay says, "Singh is Kinng is a
title that means a lot to lakhs of
people all over the world. I
knew, I had to bring something
new to the table, something that
will never die. The best way to
do that was to collaborate with
a renowned spiritual artist who
cares about cultures, who sings
from his soul and is a legend in
the rapping world. I didn't
choose Snoop just because he
was famous, I chose him
because he speaks to his people
through his music. He wrote his
own lyrics for my song and
brought an element that none of
us could have imagined. That is
why he is who he is - a man of
surprise." And though Snoop
invited Akshay for his concerts
in India, the actor couldn't make
it due to his schedule.
