He has nobody to blame but himself. He shunned the media. He didn't transition well from single screen to multiplexes and he never promoted his films. He pretty much had a problem with all the big directors from Rajkumar Santoshi, J.P Dutta, Yash Chopra to Rakesh Roshan ( Koyla was written for Sunny Deol).
Wasted precious years trying to make something of Bobby Deol. Did crap films for friends like Tinu Verma. Sunny Deol, never had the ambition or the drive, needed to stay at the top. The most mismanaged career in history.

Yeah come one he was asked once after Gadar before Indian oh so another action film?

No one ever told Govinda oh so another comedy
Srk oh so yet another love story
Aamir Oh so yet another off beat movie
Akshay oh so another action film

And now no one asks of has guys to ask Salman oh so another Masala film
