I was going to say the same thing. It's the "I was born with a silver spoon" thing all over again. And look how well it worked for Sonam darling
And btw, Anushka's upbringing doesn't make her impervious to making catty remarks. The only reason there is fuel to this fire is that ever since BBB became a hit, Anushka was the one to directly attack Deepika and the like, while Deepika has remained mostly quiet about her. And now that Deepika did well with Cocktail, Anushka can't deal with the heat and is backtracking.
