I really want the old SRK back, the one who acted in Deewana, Kabhi Haan Kabhi Na, Darr, Bazigar, Raju ban gaya gentleman even Dil Aashna hai. Those were the times when i loved his flop movies as well. Wish he could realise that he need not be central characters of his movies to shine through, he just needs a well written character. Even a 20 minutes role in a 2 hr movie will give him all the needed attention and acclaim. And plz get rid of YRF for now, we have hordes of good directors who would like to experiment just like the way SRK was doing in his early days. I hope he works with Anurag Kashyap, Farhan Akhtar, Zoya Akhtar, Imtiaz Ali, Rajkumar Hirani, Madhur Bhandarkar, Reema Kagti and any new director with a vision. I want him to change and take risks now, he has already got all the praises he deserves.

Yes like Rani, Mahima, Deepika, Anushka were all superstars when SRK worked with them for the first time. KJo was a new director when SRK did KKHH. Shimit Amin was a pretty unknown director when he did CDI with him. Anubhav Sinha isn't one of the most well-known directors either.

I do agree SRK needs a new strategy, but this article sucks. His new strategy should be actually reading the scripts of the movie he chooses to act in! He needs to stop working with his friends (unless the scripts of those movies are actually good). Also, I wish he does something like CDI soon! I want him to do meaningful cinema.

Lets not forget Adi Chopra, Kajol and Preity too who were new/flop stars when they first acted with SRK. Some of the actresses who made their debuts opposite SRK went on to become the biggest stars.
Agree on the pink bit completely.

Even Aamir who once made Lagaan is now doing stuff like Dhoom 3. And working with Raju Hirani is no risk at all. After Munnabhai anyone would do anything with Hirani.

True! Even SRK did lot of unconventional movies in the first 5 years of his career till he found his USP with DDLJ.
I think in terms of risk taking IMO Emraan Hashmi is way ahead of everyone. Despite seeing success recently he isnt sticking to the formula. He doesnt care to maintain his image as long as he has an interesting role.

SRK should say...Thanks but no thanks to these idiotic suggestions...20 years down the lane...no one is going to remember these idiotic movies ...but people will always remember a good actor...its OK we don't need ATBBs worth forgetting ...but a simple hit but quality movie is good for us SRK fans😃
Today when we remember good actors...we don't remember Rajendra kumar...who gave super hit movies in a row and was known as Jubliee Kumar but he couldn't act...Instaed we remember Dilip Kumar...who may not have given so many hits but is one of the greatest actor...

well said blue ice. rajesh khanna, amitabh b, shah rukh khan...will be remembered forever.
3 biggest superstars/legends of alltime.

Why should SRK retire? Did Salman retire after giving flops like Veer and MAMK? No. He came back with a bang (literally with Dabangg 😆). If Sallu didn't retire, why should SRK?

He has the talent and the popularity. If movies not reaching a certain mark BO-wise means the actors in it should retire, better tell everyone else except the Khans, Kumar, Devgn and recent additions to the 100 Cr Club, Hrithik and Ranbir, to retire as well. 🤪

While Salman is Salman, and his stuff is basically a fad he's certainly riding the crest of it and giving the people what they want...and keeping his tongue firmly in his cheek the whole time.
Aamir, however has my respect. Ever since he married a woman who didn't look like the typical Bollywood plastic princess who strokes his ego and sucks his...er...(what do Hobbits have?😉) but rather married a woman with whom he might actually have liking and personality in common I've come to respect the dude. He seems to have less problem with who he actually IS in movies than the other guys.
F'rinstance, I've noticed that in Talaash he's acting opposite Rani and Kareena. Admittedly they are younger than he is but they aren't people who were in DIAPERS back when his movies were becoming popular. In other words he's not willing to sit back and allow himself to be made a joke of, on the alter of vanity.
He may be vain...he may be totally image conscious but he's savvy and aware of how his image should change to keep him relevant.
"Jokes" may---in the case of Salman---be funny, espceially when the actor makes it clear he is in on the joke so as to avoid personal derision, but they can work against you when you fall from being the King Of Romance to just being a sinewy old dude with a middle age crisis who is constandly chasing after women at least 20 years younger and pretending to be love's first young dream.
Just be "love's dream" for a man as charming as SRK, that would be no problem at all.
And he really would be dreamy as as a sexy anti-hero. That could catipult him back to the top if it's done right---and NOT if he lets himself be cast opposite Alia Bhatt for crap's sake.
