But if you look overseas then it has not a impact because it has broken records at some places. So diwali is not as important festival time as it is India.

I even read some of my indian friends from india saying that they have no time cause of pooja etc. but some people i know who live here in europe weren't busy with pooja etc. they went and watched the movie and went to work too.

Obviously you cant compare the impact of a Hindu festival in India with Europe and USA. USA for instance almost shuts down in the last 2 weeks of the year and during Thanksgiving time. In India we dont even get a holiday for Christmas or New Year. So yes there is a major impact of Diwali in India.
