Haven't downloaded any songs from SOTY, songs aren't for me IMO...your list is brilliant though quite a lot of your choices are nearly all I listen to.

Yup the list was by me.

I am a part time Indian DJ for parties, wedding and any other cultural events.

Barfi soundtrack is really good. But it's quite new (so is SOTY) but it takes time to grow and I am only hooked to 3 songs.

I didn't like the Dabangg music much apart from Tere Mast… Chori kiya re is nice but I never fell in love with it.

Jannat 2 was a disappointment for me. Tu hi mera was nice but not amazing.

Tanu weds manu? I only remember the sadi gali song. And isn't that like an old Punjabi song?

I don't remember anything from Ready except for Character Dheela which gets a bit annoying after a while.

Rowdy rathode had the most annoying music ever! Chinta ta thing…

Student of the Year has awesome music! I'm not of fan of the Radha song but pretty much ever song is great! I loved the Raata maar song after a while too! Kukkad is so cute! Vele is probably my favourite though. Great dance song!

Barfii! Had the most refreshing music of the year! Loved it! My favourite is probably Ashiyaan.

Apart from Sheila, TMK didn't have good songs. The "tees maar khan" catch phase gave me a headache.

The song surili ankiyon wale from Veer is beautiful! And the song Dil Kyun Yeh Mera from Kites has the most amazing beginning tune ever! It makes you fall in love! MURDER 2!!! I loved the music in that movie! From Haal e Dil to Phir Mohabbat and eve Aa Zaara. I loved them all! Some of the songs from Jism 2 were nice too. Yeh Kasoor and Yeh jism hai toh kya were were seductive sounding.

If I had to choose ONE favourite song of the year…I think I'd say Paani Da. It's really raw sounding, great texture in his voice. Beautiful.

Great list! Made me go back and listen to some songs that I haven't heard in a while! I probably missed a whole bunch of songs but I can't remember anything right now.

Wow you covered almost all the albums. I like few songs from some albums mentioned in the list but my fav one at present is Barfi. I hope Pritam wins something cuz he's made really good music in the recent past

It's indeed my list but i researched and surveyed on Facebook/Twitter before ranking it.

Vicky Donor's pani da rang was good track but it couldn't pull it off big as we are talking about overall albums here.
