I agree with most.

But I guess the list is looking at the most iconic roles.

And you must notice is all those actresses got awards for best actress at filmfare or national awards for their performance. & that is why those were selected as their path-breaking roles.

True...they are all path breaking and award winning roles. But for many of them like Karishma, Rani the role listed here came towards the end of their careers so they cant be called career defining. Iconic is the right word as they are remembered for these roles.

As for Karishma I totally agree that Raja Hindustani should've been on there since she actually won best actress and that movie was an All Time Blockbuster and still remain as classics today.

And for Rani, I'd say Saathiya or Hum Tum (she won best actress) were better choices. Since they were both successful and her work was praised.

Few good actresses are missing.

Sharmila Tagore - Aradhna
Manisha Koirala - 1942 Love Story
Bipasha Basu - Raaz

With Karishma it should be Raja Hindustani or DTPH ...

K3G for Kareena bcos she rode the Poo ride for 6 years before Geet (she is in that sense very lucky ..not everyone have two career defining roles)

I guess Fashion is fine but i thought the performance which brought PC to the forefront was Aitraaz 😕? But ultimately i think she'll be remembered for Barfi and not Fashion or any other role

Rani is more likely to be remembered for Khandala than anything in Black (the writer said continuously that they aren't looking for the best performance here... just one that we immediately associate with the actors ... with rani it is ghulam or KKHH)

Tehzaab or Ram Lakhan for Madhuri

With Preity, i personally prefer DCH 😆

I think Bhoot and Pyar Tune Kya Kiya for Urmila
Khamoshi and Bombay for Manisha

Rangeela IMO. Rangeela made it ok for heroines to absolutely focus on being sexy and yet not come across as vulgar and cheap.

Absolutely agree.

Even though Khamoshi was good too.

I still remember Manisha in that Ek Ladki Ko Dekha song from 1942 a Love Story

Gutz she didn't have much box office success.

Well and Rangeela sounds good for Urmila.
