I am so lost... where in this interview was he overconfident? In fact I liked his answers, they were straight-forward, he kept it real and he seemed grounded enough.

Also, I saw the JDJ finale and I only enjoyed the SOTY promotion because of Varun, there was no over confidence, in fact he just seemed to be really excited, outgoing, and open. He was asked to take his shirt off and he was the one who kept on bringing Sid to join him because most of the time the hosts were focusing on Varun, so how was he trying to steal anyone's limelight? He just seems like a fun person in general.

I completely agree. And the little amount of interviews I did watch of them, Varun and Sid seem to get along really well. Varun lets Sid talk, though Sid just seems really quiet in general and Alia is always busy fixing her hair. I have never seen Varun pissed off when Sid talks. They interact and have fun together. 😕

Varun just seems more outgoing and extroverted compared to Sid, and I guess that comes off as overconfident to some people? Not to me though. Then again, we all have different perspectives, oh well.

A newcomer must be respectful of everyone and everything. The film industry is running actually because of all these narcisstic actors. I hate it when people dont respect people higher than themselves and people belonging to the same profession as himself. If you dont like it, say you dont like social networking... why call social-networkers narcisstic 😕 and he says this inspite of getting a break through SRK's production..

He's got to have an inflated ego to say such things even before his movie is released! some politeness and indifferent attitude would suffice, Varun.

Ok not going to judge his acting for now and being fairly new in this forum , I just thought would share this bit with you all.

Have met Varun and knew him through a frn, he is a great story teller, saw few of his short films , guy is inspired by Nolan for sure. He is a good dancer, since he has been doing so for a very long tym . He has participated in many competitions as well, nothing like DID ofcourse.

As a person, outgoing, confident and has no hang ups being the David Dhawan's son, infact his circle of frnz is so non-filmy. He is great pals with Sid since MNIK days.

When i met him the guy was pretty humble but sure of himself, its like his extrovert personality gets more magnified with Sid's boy shy image, and Sid is great too but he is quite a talker in real life though a little new with all the media attention hence a little apprehensive.

VOs attitude is there even today some ppl dont change varun too feels he is srk+sallu+hritik why on earth let him first prove himself not in SOTY but more than that becoz the real competition will begin after SOTY when he will have to crave a niche for himself

frankly speaking ranbir is doing so well but never utters goodie goodie remarks abt himself

just one more thing bebo declared heroine was the best movie and she was the best the end result we all know

but sridevi the original queen of bollywood was reserved in all her interviews and promotions but everybodys raving abt engliah vinglish

who is good will be good no need to scream it loud

ps just my views i like sid but never hated varun however after seeing him in a couple of interviews i was quite pissed off with his attitude

Although I like Siddharth more than Varun, I'll still say that I don't think varun has an attitude. Varun comes across as being someone who is supremely confident of himself which is not a bad thing. Among the 3 he is actually the one who has most screen presence, so his confidence is kind of justified. As long as Varun doesn't go beyond this level of confidence its fine.

I must also say, I like the way he tries and involves Siddharth in everything & doesn't let him feel left out coz if it was left up to Siddharth, he'd probably just stand in a corner coz of his shy nature.
