Woo-hoo! 🥳BEBO is on a roll, with or without SANJAY! Now, we know PRAKASH JHA is an award-winning director of so many powerful films such as Mrityudand, Raajneti, Apharan, Gangajal, Aarakshan, etc.! And he is a much better director than SANJAY! His films have had mixed commercial success, but the way he presents his heroines are something else. I think she will have a role to die for. The media is saying she is going to play a prime minister! With HEROINE in her kitty, another performance-oriented role is what BEBO needed to shut up those haters. Once Satyagrah does well, SANJAY will come crying back to BEBO if RAM LEELA flops. Or BEBO can do another film with PRAKASH if SATYAGRAH works. Please share your thoughts. Can PRAKASH JHA give BEBO what SANJAY can't?! 😉

Hoping for the best, coz Aarakshan was such a snoozefest.

Kareena character inspired from CNN's Christiane Amanpour

Kareena Kapoor has graduated to roles of a more mature kind. In Prakash Jha's Satyagrah, she plays a seasoned political journalist with a strong ideological bent to her personality. Her character is modelled on CNN's Christiane Amanpour, who is known for her humane and compassionate reportage on the worst kind of atrocities against humankind for nearly three decades.

A source close to the project said, "Whenever we've seen television journalists in Hindi films, they're invariably modelled on Barkha Dutt. Prakash has not only asked Kareena to model her character on Christiane Amanpour but he will also make the actress watch tapes of Amanpour's news coverage and her show on CNN. Prakash wants Kareena to understand how much heart Amanpour brings to her news reportage."

In the film, Kareena will also follow Amanpour's dress code: chic and fashionable yet formal and not too severe. The source said, "Prakash doesn't want her to follow the routine dress code of salwar kameez and sarees. The most stylishly cut executive suits modelled on Amanpour's dress style will be designed for Kareena."

On his part, Jha told us, "From the time I wrote the journalist's character in Satyagrah, I had Christiane Amanpour in mind. I wrote Kareena's character thinking only of Amanpour. I love the deep connectivity she establishes with the viewers with her compassionate reportage and analysis."

What's more, she has a love angle with Ajay Devgn but in the words of the source, "There is no coochie cooing, no singing and dancing, and no running around trees. It's a very practical, mature kind of relationship that doesn't follow the typical Bollywood norms."

Prakash Jha's movie sounds like a mixture of Rajneeti and Aarakshan. I dont think it will do anything positive for Kareena.

Bebo is a DITZ..she should have been doing the Emraan and SLB films instead of the Punit and ensemble cast Jha film..

Hits came a bit late for her..She lost her focus..All the Khans are running after me..I only want to look pretty..dont call me no1 call me 100 etc.

When rejecting Emraan film she said that she will only do Karan directed big dharma film..no she is doing a punit film😕

She openly admitted in her Filmfare that she STILL wants to do films that will do commercially well.

And that she chose a commercially viable Ajay Devgn and Imran Khan (last outing EMAET) when she had to choose either those OR Ram Leela

If she had chosen Punit's film by rejecting Ramleela I would think she is completely dumb. But of course we all know that she was thrown out by SLB and she had no choice but to grab whatever came across her way. It's not as if there was a line of heroines waiting to be cast opposite Imran in a small budget rom-com.

i don't think so. if i am not wrong ladies in his movies hardly won any awareds or anything.. barring Mrityudand, none of his movies have strong performances from heroines. multi starrers movies he makes..and too many characters...the heroine is kinda lost in his movies.

so yes kareena might have a good, powerful role, but end of the day it will be AB, ajay devgan and manoj bajpai taking the credits.

as for Christiane...no big deal there..yes shez been one hell of a reporter, but nothing that really takes your breath away.

its shocking kareena would choose this movie over ram leela..she desperately wanted to work with bhansali since devdas days.
