But today the tables have turned especially after the success of Murder. What's more all the songs of Murder turned out to be hits pushing Emraan's career ahead. But Mallika Sherawat taking credit for its success is a different story all together. And that bugged Emraan no end. "How can she take the credit for the success of the film? Filmmaking is teamwork and we have all contributed for it being a hit at the box-office,"Emraan said.

Born on 24 March 1979 this Arian always dreamt of acting. "Since uncle Mahesh Bhatt was in the profession I always knew I wanted to be an actor. And I began when Vikram Bhatt cast me in Footpaht. But I never in my wildest dream imagined that one day I would enjoy this kind of success that I am witnessing today."

Besides hit numbers, Murder had all the ingredients going for it including some heavy dose sex and kissing scenes for which Emraan was tagged as the serial kisser.

Murder's success was followed by Zeher. The song Woh Lamhe from the film became an instant rage. And with films like Aashiq Banaya Aapne, Chocalate and Kalyug Emraan became a star to reckon with.

His last released Gangster brought some respite over drought struck box-office. The songs turned out be instant hits. Ditto for Aksar.

Well in his personal life Emraan Hashmi is engaged to Parveen Sahahni. The duo plan to get married this year! Parveen is a teacher by profession and has nothing to do with Emraan Hashmi's glamour world. "I want to keep her out of it," he said. Also it is because of Parveen that Emraan plans to cut down on all the kissing scenes that he does in films. "No more kissing scenes for me," said Emraan. Those who know Hashmi closely reveal that he is too shy a person and it is difficult for him to open up. "While shooting for Aksar Emraan would keep to himself. I though what does this guy think of himself. But later I realized that Emraan was genuinely shy. Of course we turned good friends as the shooting progressed and Emraan began to open up as a person."

Today Emraan ahs the best banners under his belt includuing Mukta Arts Good Boy Bad Boy. "It is here that I want to be till my last breath," said Emraan.
