Advance booking for Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif'sEk Tha Tiger opened on Sunday at many places and has drawn a phenomenal response all over India, and many weekend shows are already house full.
In Mumbai, Rajesh Thadani of Multimedia Combines says, "GOW 2 has earned around Rs 15 crore pan-India, and now everyone is waiting for Salman Khan's Ek Tha Tiger. Many shows have been blocked for the weekend and there are corporate bookings as well. The opening for this film will be huge."
G D Mehta of Bobby Arts adds, "GOW 2 did not have a good run over the weekend here, and many shows were even cancelled. Now everyone is waiting for Ek Tha Tiger. In Delhi, we do not have advance bookings so only current booking will reveal the response to this film. But we are sure the movie will take a grand opening."
In Punjab, Surendra Saluja of Lakshya Movies says, "Now it's all about Ek Tha Tiger. There are a lot of enquiries about the film, which will definitely enjoy a 100-per cent opening."
In West Bengal, Debashish Dey of Aum Moviez says the buzz around Ek Tha Tiger is phenomenal "There will be a hurricane for advance booking. Advance booking here opened yesterday and by today almost 90 per cent of the first-day bookings were sold out. Till next Monday, cinemas will be house full."
In CP, Sarang Chandak of Shri Rang Films remarks, "There are lot of enquiries about Ek Tha Tiger but in CP we don't have advance booking. Without a doubt, the film will be a 100-per cent hit from the first day itself."
In Orissa, Jeetu Khandelwal of Movie Pioneers says, "GOW 2 may have done well if it had released on a weekend. Collections are just Rs 1.7 lakh. Releasing the film mid-week was a bad decision. And when you know there's a Salman Khan film releasing, you should release your film a few weeks earlier. Even multiplexes were ready to release GOW 2 but the filmmakers chose this date."
About the buzz around Ek Tha Tiger, he adds, "There is an extraordinary response to Ek Tha Tiger in Orissa. August 15 is a holiday, advance booking has opened and the first day is already packed. The film will run house full till Sunday as it is a long weekend."
In Mysore, B H Basha of Bahar Enterprises concludes, "without a doubt, Ek Tha Tiger will be a big hit. In Mysore, advance booking has opened. While the morning shows are almost full, tickets will be sold out for the first day, by this evening. By tomorrow, the weekend will be packed too."
