Barfi movie's song lost

Filmmaker Anurag Basu had to replace a song in his upcoming film at the last minute after he lost his phone that had the scratch (rough cut) of the song. According to a source, "Anurag was to use that song in a crucial scene in the background for actor Ranbir(Kapoor). In fact, work was complete on the song, but then he lost the phone that had the scratch and he was unwilling to take the risk of the song being leaked, so instead of using the song, he asked Pritam(music director) to come up with a new song completely and he's working on it."

The source adds that though the song will be replaced, there won't be a need to reshoot it. "Luckily, considering Ranbir plays a deaf and mute character, there's no lip sync to be done and almost all of the songs are in the background. So only the tracks need to be switched, but no portions will be reshot," added the source.The song will not even feature on the film's music album, though there were suggestions to have it on the album if not in the film. "But Anurag just didn't want to take any chance with it, and so has completely scrapped it off," reveals another insider.
