He directed HDDCS in 1999, it was agess ago. His last two movies Saawariya and Guzaarish were disasters both commercially and content wise. It remains to be seen if he can reinvent himself or are we gonna see a repeat of movies like Saawariya and Guzaarish.

Ranveer sucks, hate to say it. 😆 There are so many leading men that SLB could have chosen. Even Hrithik could have been a top choice. Ranveer is only 2 films old. He doesn't have the drive or charisma to do a SLB film yet, if ever. Imran, Ranbir, even Shahid could have done it with sincerity! Aish was a dream in HDDCS and Devdas. I want SLB to get that magic back. Priyanka needs a good vehicle to make everyone sit up and take notice. If Bebo doesn't do it, who is the next best choice? Obviously Priyanka. No Katrina or the Deepikas, Sonams, etc. Vidya Balan would have been an excellent choice as well, but she would look to old for Ranveer. Or perhaps Parineeti! However, Aish is focused on her baby and the role requires a young actress. I hope SLB doesn't go wrong this time, I am hopeful Ram Leela can be a good film. 😉

she is too nervous about marriage and cant handle the pressure its natural. but Priyanka isnt a bad choice either she will do justice to it. Though I was excited about kareena in this movie only cause herione and talaash are going to be so much intense that ram leela seemed fun . but whatever we will see if its her loss or gain. only time will tell

I disagree about some things Gaurav 😆..think Ranveer can act fine..though something about him is a turn-off, maybe his personality? I don't know. I can't warm upto him that much. As an actor, in his 2 movies he stood out and has great screen presence and charisma. I think Ranveer is fine for something like HDDCS..Shahid, Ranbir would have been good too..but Imran/Hrithik? No way. These 2 suck in romance sorry. 😆 In a HDDCS-esque film, Hrithik would ham into the next century and I'm not sure what Imran would do..😆

Yeah there's very few actresses I can imagine in a HDDCS-type film. The kind of elegance Aish has that usually Bhansali's films require, none of the current batch have. I never thought Bebo was right, and I'm scared PC will overact. Deepika/Sonam can look right, but acting is not possible. I can't imagine Anushka, Katrina either. Vidya..would need another actor for sure. Parineeti just did a R&J adaptation so it would be too repetitve seeing her in another one.

Priyanka's career is dwindling yes. So she'll really need this film to work out for her in a big way like HDDCS did for Aish. Even Sanjay needs a big success like his earlier films. He's lost a lot of goodwill in the industry with Saawariya and Guzaarish flopping. I guess only time will tell whether he can still make a good film..and even if he can, is the audience still up for something like HDDCS? That movie was over 10 years ago!

Its clear she was replaced for probably not having enough days; i duno how big of a role her wedding played in the decision, though. Shes clearly nervous about what this marriage will do to her career which is why she said i have 3 BIG movies coming out next year.

She further clarifies, "I am extremely ambitious and very career-oriented and my personal life has never come in the way of of my career. My not doing this film has nothing to do with my wedding. Everyone knows Saif and me have been together in a relationship for the last five years and such stories about me being replaced because I am getting married are floated by PR machineries on an overdrive! So people, just back off and let me focus on my work!"

Zahid reveals the other major cause for Bebo leaving the film. "We had fixed a lumpsum amount for a 100-day shoot and had clarified that if the director took more time than that, we would be compensated, on a per-day basis. Mr Bhansali was okay with it initially but later he asked for more days and didn't want to pay us extra for those days. We thought it's better to do three films in 150 days than just get stuck with one."

So Bebo will now do 3 big films in 150 days after 'walking out' of one film requiring 100+ days? Goes to show how important her role is in these films. Do these roles happen to be Asin's rejects? But I feel sorry for all the Bebo fans including Ranveer who were eagerly looking forward to this film. Casting PC seems to be a disaster right now. I have a better suggestion-why doesnt SLB cast Ash? Anyways I guess by the time they start filming her 1 year 'self imposed' break will be over. Only thing is they will have to replace Ranveer...maybe they can get 'in demand' Jr B for the male lead's role. I can imagine Sr B going bonkers if this happens. 😛
