In 1994, Hum Aapke Hain Kaun released to limited prints. But it became so huge and especially the music. It was an ALL TIME BLOCKBUSTER, it broke so many record and refer that film as landmark in Indian cinema. Mohra was second biggest hit that year with a huge gap between their collections.
Also, Gadar was big, but still couldn't beat Hum Aapke Hain Kaun & DDLJ, in inflation records.

So SRK still has the most number of films seen by most people. 👏

All these 100Cr blockbusters are nothing but inflated amounts due to rising ticket cost now vs the time films like Gadar was released. Tickets costed 30 then and now it costs 200-300.

Its hard to explain. The Masses used to go crazy for Sunny Deol like they do for Salman today. Its the "mardangi" and "dialogues" mostly. It was crazy. With dhols and what not. Kinda fun. There was an article on BOI when YPD released about the exact same thing.

Yamla Pagla Deewana has opened extremely well at single screen across the country. In Delhi/UP, East Punjab and Rajasthan single screens are huge with some screens even going over capacity. In Punjab and Lucknow, the posters of Dharmendra and Sunny Deol were garlanded by their fans while in CP Berar the prints were garlanded by their fans, the other star to whom this has happened to over the past few years is Salman Khan.

Akki , no other actor can be that great as our Akki is👏 , he is great in everything from acting to dance👏 where as Sallu is weak at all of them...😭
