Sanjay Dutt, Kumar Gaurav revive their father's banners; their first film will be directed by Milan Luthria

Sanjay Dutt and Kumar Gaurav have joined hands to revive their fathers' banners (Sunil Dutt's Ajanta Arts and Rajendra Kumar's Aryan films) and make films jointly. This venture will kick-off with a film directed by Milan Luthria and starring Sanjay Dutt and Ajay Devgan.

When contacted Milan Luthria said, "It is an attempt to revive two companies. It is a very emotional and significant undertaking for us. Both these banners have made huge films in the past and today both their sons are coming together to make a big film. Kumar Gaurav will not be acting in the film but will look in the production department along with Sanju."

Work on this action-adventure film will start in February next year.

Speaking about his association with Sanjay Dutt, Luthria said, "Sanju and I go a long way. I have known him from when I started assisting Bhattsaab (Mahesh Bhatt). Sanju was a huge star then. We hit it if from day one. I am grateful to him for giving me a chance. I know that we are going to have a blast shooting for the film."

Luthria also added, "It will be very emotional for Sanju as this is something which he and his father had discussed before Duttsaab passed away. I am sure that with the kind of goodwill that Sanju has in the industry, there will be a lot of people who will support him."
