My parents had a love marriage themselves back when both of their own parents were trying to matchmake an arranged marriage for them. They were both from different backgrounds in India as well so it was at first difficult to get both parties to agree, but it worked out. So i don't think either of them will ever seriously 'suggest' a guy for me.

My mom still hints at what 'TYPE' of guy i should be with constantly, but both mom and dad are really academically inclined so they are very adament that I get a good job and am independent before marriage.
