Bollywood diva Madhuri Dixit, known for her million-dollar smile, was "thrilled" to unveil her wax statue at the Madame Tussauds museum here Wednesday.

The 44-year-old is the latest Indian film actor to join the A-list line-up at the Madame Tussauds wax museum, which also houses statues of Shah Rukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai, Hrithik Roshan, Salman Khan and Amitabh Bachchan.

"I am thrilled to be here in Madame Tussauds unveiling a wax figure of myself. It's incredible just how detailed the figure is - they have captured my look beautifully! I feel very humbled to be included alongside other Bollywood stars and some of my personal heroes," Madhuri said in a statement on the museum's official website.

The star of films like "Tezaab", "Ram Lakhan", "Sajan", "Beta", "Dil", "Hum Aapke Hain Koun!", "Dil Toh Pagal Hai" and "Devdas", Madhuri is the sixth Bollywood celebrity to be honoured here at Madame Tussauds and only the second actress, following Aishwarya.

Madhuri was involved in the creation of her figure from the start. She attended a sitting in Mumbai where sculptors captured a catalogue of reference photographs and hundreds of precise measurements to create the statue.

She also donated the exquisite pink sari donned by the wax figure, which took four months to make at a cost of 150,000 pounds. The statue also has around its neck a heavy neckpiece, and the look is complete with the perfect smile that Madhuri is known for.

since madhuri got her statue waxed after kareena then why is her name not mentioned in the article anywhere...uske worltour ke saath saath uska naam bhi chale gya kya?😆

It was widely reported that Kareena's wax statue is not going to be placed at the famous London centre, but rather at a local centre. However, it's been reported that Kareena's wax statue will take a tour visiting various centres and will finally end up at the London centre.

Neha Kareena does have a wax statue but it is at blackpool not in london..it is a new chain of MT.. Kareena is not with other Bolly stars..

ok we'll see every Bolly statue is taking a tour at the moment..but per my knowledge..the staue stays where it is unveiled..and I also remember Kareena's remark that it is in Blackpool, but it is still MT, sooo, I do not think it will be situated in London..

yeh I agree! mann, back in his time there was not much exposure, imagine Kareena has a wax statue but people like Prithviraj, Raj Kapoor and Rishi Kapoor do not have one!

Both Kareena and Hrithik were weird choices. I like them but there are other far more deserving people who should have been there already, before Bebo or Hrithik's names could even be considered. Or Salman or Ash. Heck Madhubala should have been there much before Madhuri. I love Sridevi but if it was her statue there instead of Madhuri, I would still say the same about Madhubala.

How and why should I know why her name's not listed?

I dont manage that site, someone else does.

Now by saying that since its not listed, you mean to say her statue never got made, well sorry to burst your bubble, but it very publically did.

Here is a photo displaying all six at Bangkok with a description + name of Kareena Kapoor and yes ON MADAME TUSSAUD'S site.

It not being listed doesnt prove where her statue will reside either. It doesnt mean its gonna be in Blackpool anymore than it does in London.

And even IF its gonna be in Blackpool, why are you puting the city of Blackpool down?

How is it any less than London? Are you trying ot say the people of Blackpool are inferior?

I dont quite understand the POINT of your rather pointless argument except a desperate attempt to pull Kareena down.

You can crib all you want, it wont make her Wax Statue melt, nor will it ruin her handprint on UTV Walk of Star, nor will it affect her popularity in the least.

Go on, make yourself feel better. It doesnt affect Kareena Kapoor 😆
