Nasser has stated the obvious. Although, films like Black come to mind, where he did push himself.. i think its pretty evident that AB has stuck to films within his comfort zone.. he has picked movies that cater to his persona : first of angry young man, now respectable senior actor with style and whatever...

Tiya229 - And according to you the roles he portrayed in "Paa" and "Nishabd" were in his comfort zone? I would rather say that about Naseerudin Shah who has always been into the serious and not glamorous roles.

i don't know what he is saying lol (i didn;'t see the vdo)...but naseeruddin shah has done it all. go watch hero heralal...he can do commercial...unfortunately he is not star material...but neither is morgan freeman...but no one denies freeman is awesome and he does not even play leads that often...he is very well respected in hollywood...only in bollywood naseeruddin shah gets no respect or noone felicitates him even though he is so awesome! i would be frustrated and angry if i were him.

There's nothing wrong with what he said and at the end when the interviewer was like Dilip Kumar will be remember and Shah says that "he probably won't be"--- I gotta agree with this even though it's saddening. I wish Guru Dutt was still remembered for his movies, but the sad truth is that people don't watch as many old flicks as they used to. Also, not a huge chunk of the population appreciates classic cinema. A lot of people here (the youth) have called it boring and don't like watching depressing movies. But Kagaz ki Phool is greatness and it should be appreciated and watched b/c Guru Dutt really changed the direction of film making (IMO).

As for the Big B comment--I think it just depends. Shah took more versatile roles in his career while Big B didn't. Shah is more of the actor between the two while Big B is the superstar. But after Paa, I personally think Big B is great b/c for a 70 yr old to play a character like that--I call that greatness.

its very sad that bollywood dont give the respect nasserdin shah deserve, morgan freeman is a respected actor in hollywood why cant india do the same to our still living great actors like NASEERDIN SHAN,KAMAL HASSAN

I agree with sweet coco guru dutt was a great actor too.but india is a country where THE MANGO audience prefer movies like bodyguard and ra one.

personally i appreciate actors like nasserdin shan kamal hassan shabana azmi
