I think Sid's character was the most mysterious so I doubt we'll ever know. I always thought he liked Soha in the movie. Maybe, maybe not.

RDB was one of the few movies that had such strong characters. Aamir, Kunal, Sid, Sharman, Madhavan, Atul, Soha, Alice, Waheeda, Kiron Kher... All of them had so much depth in their characters and very well defined too...

I haven't seen it in a while, but I remember thinking that he liked her. Also, in the beginning of the film, there is a scene with him looking at a picture. I'm not sure if it was Soha's or some other girl's. I remember this scene because a critic talked about it when reviewing the film:

"The characters are painted with enigmatic layers – that girl in the photograph in Karan's drawer; is she an ex-girlfriend? – and whether it's the grandstanding sequence (Atul Kulkarni's fiery recitation of Bismil's Sarfaroshi ki tamanna) or the throwaway mood shot (Siddharth smiling out of happiness for Soha and Madhavan, who plays her boyfriend), the actors make you believe in whatever they do."

Yes I too think sid did have feelings for Soha's character in the film. Tu bin bataye song says it all. I have seen this movie like so many times just to confirm this and I do think he had a soft spot for her. He may not love her but he definitely had a soft corner for her. May be attracted towards her or even better felt protective about her.

I've seen this question asked several times on different forums, including the imdb page for Rang De basanti. Personally I thought RDB was great not only for the story, direction and characters - but more so for the stories we were left to imagine about the main group. Their chemistry was so believable that all the looks they shared during their screen time as a 'group' seemed to signify underlying narratives and varying relationships with each other.

I did feel like Siddarth's character had feelings for Soha. It certainly wasn't written into the film, but perhaps it was a bit of reality leaking into their characters? Siddarth was dating Soha Ali Khan at the time and i wouldn't be surprised if their romance managed to slip past the camera lens into some of the RDB footage.

There have been speculations about the extent of the relationship shared between some of the male characters in the film as well. The credit goes out to the strength of the cast though - they brought so much life to these characters which makes one dwell on them past the film.

Anyway, interesting question. Sorry for the essay.
