Well said. I feel indian poeple judge the movies by the actors not by the movie. such a shame

I haven't watched it till date. But everyone I know of loved it and can't seem to get enough of it.

I think what clicked for this movie was the awesome action, return of the Indian Hero and awesome music to top that..

I felt the direction was really smart for two reasons. One the director took Salman's mannerisms and gave it a hatke twist. Secondly the movie was semi-rural based. BW badly needed a change of scene from the usual Mumbai/foreign locales. The mass audiences could connect with the setting. Even Sonakshi actually looked like a pleasantly plump girl next door.

SALMAN SALMAN SALMAN.his style the way he put his glares behind the hud hud dabbang dance step. the earthy dialogues of the film a great desi item song.lot of really funny moments and yup salman bare chested at the end in a filmy fight sequence. Indian audience loves drama and dabbang had enough of it!!!
Cant wait for part two!

I don't think that liking Dabangg shows that people are dumb or anything. Not everyone is going to have the same taste in movies, obviously.

Don't know about others, but I definitely liked this movie. The story, songs, Salman, 90s masala action flick theme, etc...everything worked for me. It's a movie which I wouldn't mind watching again as a timepass. It delivered exactly what it was aiming for - entertainment. Atleast it didn't claim to be the next best thing coming out of BW that will show the world what BW "really" is.
