Definitely the most well known Indian actor today. Wherever I have gone, even to places like Spain, Norway and Sweden, when the topic of movies comes up, if they know about India, they ask about SRK. No one else.

By sheer size of the South Asian population SRK might be the most well known actor. But then people of every nationality will not know him as much as they would know a Hollywood star.

SRk is defintely popular...no two doubts on that...but his stardom similarly like AB is mere a fluke, becoz even how much they boast of their statuses, they have hardly done movies that could you make you a fan of, of course success means a lot, most people follow you becoz of the success, it doesn't matter what kind of work you do, i would love to choose Dilip Kumar out of these two a mile away, atleast i will be more proud that i am conscious of Quality over status.
