The woman ALWAYS gets the blame. Because other women make sure that she does. Think about it, Gauri and her gang are running a crusade against Priyanka, instead of making SRK pay for his indiscretions. What sense does that make? What do other men in the industry care about SRK's affair? They care because their wives are making sure they do. Simple as. Priyanka isn't an innocent wallflower in all this but SRK's the one with the wife, kids and a family. He's the one with the commitment. And yet, Gauri and gang see fit to try and run Priyanka out of town?

We women are our own worst enemy.

The actress is being ostacrised for her alleged closeness to SRK

The Indian film industry definitely has double standards. A man (married or otherwise) indulging in multiple relationships is applauded for being a stud;a woman who does the same is labelled "loose.'' In other words what is good for the gander is definitely not so good for the goose.

Take the example of Priyanka Chopra. She is being slandered and ostracised for her reported closeness to Shah Rukh Khan. While industy wives like Mehr Jessia (Mrs Arjun Rampal) have made it their business to preach on whether PC should be invited to certain homes and parties or not; filmmakers like Karan Johar have decided not to give her work. Mehr's 'concern' is still understandable. But why PC's career should bear the brunt of her personal choices is something one fails to understand.

An amused actor who is watching this tamasha says, "No one is willing to take on SRK because he is the Bollywood Badshah. So Bollywood's moral brigade is happy to take potshots at Priyanka.'' While it is futile to even debate, whether or not SRK-PC are more than just good friends; and actually no one's business; what is disturbing is the way the world is reacting to Priyanka. Says the same actor, "If two people are in a relationship, it is their business. It should have no bearing on their professional career. And if the industry is making it their business, then both the married man and his new friend should be meted out the same treatment.''

Double standards though are not new in the films. Years ago Nagma was reportedly shunted out of Tamil Nadu because of her liaison with a Kollywood' Sarath Kumar. On record, Nagma said, "I called off my relationship with him because we had reached a dead end.'' However when asked whether she was aware that Sarath Kumar and a couple of close aides had asked producers to stop giving her work Nagma denied this. She diplomatically told Filmfare, "My reasons for returning to Mumbai were very much my own.''

Priyanka refuses to answer all questions on her controversial personal life.

True, women usually the ones who get the brunt, and the guy escapes negativity.

I do agree Priyanka is no innocent, but the guy is no child either. Blame should be equal. And say she seduced him, so what he has no control? same goes were he to seduce her. Either way, both parties were wrong. Though personally do not think anything happened, but SRK needed this to boost his image, and in the process Pri is getting the backlash, or maybe its a sympathy ploy towards her, that all our plotting against her.

I love how even in this thread everyone went PC seduced SRK and he "slipped up" 🤣

Umm... Maybe it was the other way round, I mean he already knew PC is in "love" with him and few sweet words her and there, a gift or two and he could have know she would come knocking...

As for PC whether she is sleeping with SRK or was sleeping with Akshay it is personal choice I mean she knows they are married it can just be personal choice to be the other women... I mean loads of women don't mind being the other women, the world isn't black and white when it comes to anything esp relationships...

But PC will have to bare the burnt for it because at the end of the day who brings more money to the industry SRK... PC can never bring in the crowds SRK can... It sucks but it is a fact...

As for Gauri and wives club grow up women, I know you have nothing better to do with your life but seriously having such playground antics really... I have a question for them what would they be without their partners fame? At least PC has her own identity... because everytime some one says Gauri's name they always clarify and say SRK's wife

SRK and PC if you are having an affair at least keep it discreet... I mean who openly flirts and then doesn't expect any fire?

If there is any truth to this whole affair things, then neither SRK nor PC are blameless here, but what I don't understand is why PC has to take all the blame. "Taali kabhi ek haat se nahi bajti" right, both of them participated in this without being forced/threatened etc. I mean don't get me wrong. I'm not saying that it's okay to be involved with a married man. What I am saying is why do we blame the person (the cheater) cheated with, rather than blaming the cheater himself? She didn't force him to cheat on his wife (if they did indeed have an affiar), he is responsible for his own actions.

Duh!

Bollywood isn't the only one which has these double standards, all of society does. If you want to fix Bollywood, you need to change people's mindset in all of society first.
