Hi,

I've always enjoyed watching bits of Bollywood movies when I accidentally bump onto one when browsing channels on satellite tv. They're very entertaining and always put a smile on my face.

However, I've never really explored the Indian movie scene or even watched one from beginning to end. And I have absolutely no clue about the films that are out there and which ones are the good ones.

Can you give any good movie suggestions to a Bollywood newb? What are the best ones that are a must see at the moment?

If there are any that are in English (or partly in English) that would be a plus. But I'm happy to watch with subtitles, provided I can find a DVD with subs in the UK.

It really depends on what kind of films you like to watch! Is it comedy, romantic, serious or anything else!

I generally like crime/thriller and action movies, also some romantic movies every now and then. But I'm interested to just see what's out there.

Crime/Thriller- Don2, Dhoom2 and Race.

Romantic- Dilwale Dhulhaniya Le Jayenege, Kuch Kuch hota hai there are a lot!

But in general so e movies that you would really like are-:

Zindagi Na milegi dobara

Three idiots

Kal Ho na Ho

Sholay is a great film. There's also Race which was ok and erm...romantic I love DDLJ...KKHH etc.
