'Munnabhai' gets a new name, Also new release date.
The escapades of Munnabhai and Circuit were titled MUNNABHAI MEETS MAHATMA GANDHI till sometime back. Also, the producers had confirmed the release of the film in Diwali this year. But there's a change on both the fronts.
Producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra and director Rajkumar Hirani have changed the title of the film to MUNNABHAI 2ND INNINGS. Also, the next chapter in Munnabhai's life is all set to release on 25th August now. The comic caper stars Sanjay Dutt once again in the lead role as the good-hearted goon Munnabhai, supported by Arshad Warsi as the inimitable Circuit.
MUNNABHAI 2ND INNINGS also stars Boman Irani and Jimmy Sheirgill, who played significant roles in the first episode too. The new chapter has Vidya Balan in the female lead along with Diya Mirza in a key role. "MUNNABHAI 2ND INNINGS is not a sequel, but another episode in the life of Munna and Circuit and their encounter with the truth," the producer adds.
