On the contrary I don't think it has anything to do with Shirish's tweets on Ra.One. Its been 3 months since then and it's stupid to beat Shrish up NOW over them when SRK's seen him in these 3 months before as well. I think the issue is far deeper. These 2 have a lot of history and bad blood between them and this Ra.One tweets is just an excuse. I think SRK holds Shirish responsible for his and Farah's friendship going sour. Even if SRK is calculative, manipulative, selfish, I'm sure it hurt him to lose

as close a friend as Farah.

Oh and maybe I'm biased...but I get the feeling ki Shirish is quite happy with what happened. I think he's always wanted a retaliation from SRK and he finally got it.

This is not the first time Shirish Kunder has been slapped or beaten. Sajid Nadiadwala had slapped him during Jaan-E-Man years back.

This is what Shirish Kunder had to say about the slapping incident at Sanjay Dutt's party -
"Everyone knows what really happened at the party; it isn't a hidden fact at all. Of course it was ugly and I was quite shaken up with what happened. When someone attacks you from behind and comes prepared with a set of bodyguards to protect his own self, you don't really have a choice, do you?
"All I feel is that if at all there was so much pent up anger in him, he could have gone verbal. Getting physical hasn't reflected well on either of us.
"Frankly, this is hardly the kind of attention that I want. In fact I am wary of any kind of attention, be it for something as wrong as this which was completely unprovoked or even something good for which I may have been responsible. I like to keep a low profile and Sunday's late night party was one of those rare instances when I actually attended a gathering," Kunder said.
He is also reported to have said, "Shah Rukh punched and jumped on me. And he had three bodyguards with him. I don't know what got him. I was numb with shock so I couldn't react. He kept screaming at me, 'What do you think of yourself? I'll see to it that you're out of this industry."
Shah Rukh Khan tweeted - "Another long nite. Shooting for a public service msg film about education peace & harmony. Feels ironic when I read & see wot is being said."
Farah spoke about the incident in a statement but denied they were going to pursue the matter with police.
"Shahrukh has always told me that physical abuse is the worst way to sort out a problem, and that it means the person who's hitting has either a personal or professional crisis going on. So it saddens me to see him doing the same."
Rumours were circulating that even Sanjay Dutt joined SRK in beating up Shirish. However, Dutt's spokesman has denied this and said in a statement to PTI,
"When a fight takes place so everybody who is around is blamed. Sanjay entered to stop the fight. He had no fight or anything of that sort with Shirish."
Other people present at the party are siding with SRK.
"Shahrukh is supr rockin.. Good he gave it 2 shirish. people shud learn 2 b grateful to king khan, aftrall he has been so supportive 2 farah. Glad@iamsrk told shirish off n put him in place. srk has done so much 4 farah. they shud b grateful n not abusing srk (sic)," Ameesha Patel tweeted.
"I was present at Sanj's party & Without Any Bias I Fully Support Shah Rukh (sic)," celebrity photographer Dabboo Ratnani tweeted.
As I said earlier, this matter will not rest here. Once again SRK has ensured that Bollywood is divided further than it has ever been in the past and he has also added a few more names to his ever expaning list of enemies.

Well .. SRK is a human .. people expect better from him and so far for so many years he actually showed a lot of maturity and dealt with wierd people in an easy manner

hence, I cannot believe that all of a sudden SRK would go and start beating up a guy for the heck of it

On the contrary, Shirish has a reputation of taking pot shots at people's failure when he himself is known for being Farah's husband and not for any good work .. inspite of being given opportunities with big stars and big budgets, he has always delivered duds .. his only success is pataoing that FK and having kids with her .. no doubt she is standing by him

Knowing both the personalities, it is more probable that Shirish indeed did something to provocate SRK. SRK has spent around 20 years in this industry and must have met strangest of the people (including that lecturer contestant on KBC whose video was quite popular on IF few days back) .. he has always been the bigger person and managed to make fun of the situation ...

I agree that changing circumstances do change people and trying times indeed bring out both best and worst in a person .. but the basic nature remains the same

I guess being only a human that we all are, sometimes you cannot take crap and we all reach our threshold .. we all don't know what Shirish must have said/done at Agneepath party but there was anyways an undercurrent of tension going on between SRK and Shirish .. so if for a moment SRK gave into his emotions that does not make him any less of a respectable man that he is .. in some circumstances like self-defence, law permits even murdering your enemy .. and this is a slap which I am sure SRK would have never given in normal circumstances, if he had to then he would have done it long back. He must have seen this Shirish guy at a lot of parties etc. after RaOne comments .. also SRK has enough money and power to get the Shirish guy slapped from someone else .. then why would he all of a sudden start slapping him himself .. obviously something must have happened and SRK being only a human gave into the moment. No matter how much better we expect from him, our expectations don't make him a God or a Saint. He is an outsider in BW and inspite of so many people against him, he has always managed rivalary with good humor. There is no way that he would do something like this and embarass his kids for the heck of it.

Somewhere i get the same feeling about Shirish being happy about all this true. Still though, SRK shouldn't have done that, unless the issue truly is far more deep then what we think, in the right sense though.

Too bad SRK thinks he's done better than Gauri or Gauri might have been there to defuse the situation.

Oh well. Being with an adoring crushed fan is better than being with the wife who wasn't adoring or blindly crushed but who helped to keep him out of scrapes with obvious jerks like Kunder.

Since this whole incident happened, srk's image in my head suddenly went from "kjo's gf" to "manly Srk" Maybe this will help clear up the gay rumours. it has made us forget abt PC already!
