Oh, and Mujhse Fraandship Karoge was actually very entertaining and cute. I was pleasantly surprised!

Yea I watched MFK. I liked it too. Have you watched Tere Bin Laden? I liked that one. It was quite witty and fun. 😆

Haha ofcourse! Ali Zafar used to be my childhood crush since he starred in the music video "Preeto" years ago 😆
Have you seen Love Sex Aur Dhoka? That's quite good, and also try My Brother Nikhil, though both of these are more on the serious note.
And Nigesh Kukunoor's Dor and Iqbal are my all time favorites!
And check out Aamir. WAY better than No ONe Killed Jessica!

ya thats right the prestige I heard that. I think most SLB movies are mainly copies. Black-they copied the miracle worker. and so on. though dev das was just a remake on the old devdas. HDDS was a true story mogli mentioned.
Anyhow, back to topic hope movie is good as this pairing is new, and to see a actress in her 30's work with a younger actor.

Khamoshi released a few months earlier though. Unless the German movie was screened somewhere earlier, with enough time for Bhansali to shoot and complete his film. 🤔

HDDCS isn't original. Its "inspired" from Woh saat din, the 80s Padmini Kolhapure, Anil Kapoor, Nasseruddin Shah movie.

@Desi: Yea I have watched Aamir and Iqbal. Aamir is my all time favorite Hindi movie, I keep mentioning it to everyone. 😆 Thanks for the other recommendations, will try and watch it when I can.

@Nkapoor: If you say so. 😆

The German movie was screened at various film festivals earlier before its official release in 96.
With his track record, I bet Bhansali copied it and not the other way round. Two movies cannot be that exact and release in the same year. Too much of a coincidence.

Guzaarish is a straight up lift of the Oscar-winning The Sea Inside. Some bits, the magician bits, are probably inspired from the Prestige..but overall Guzaarish = Sea Inside. Bhansali has never made an original movie in his career. They're all inspired from somehting or the other...the Miracle Worker, The Sea Inside, Doestoevsky's White Nights, etc. The only originals Bhansali has ever given credit to is White Nights and Devdas 😆

Yeah I was thinking of those film festivals. But I don't have the dates of those screenings so I had no way of checking if that left Bhansali enough time to make his film.
