I really, really liked Singham...gr8 movie...

I liked Yeh saali zindagi and Tanu weds Manu aswell (havent seen shaitan or Mujhse fraandship karoge but i think i will like them coz they seem nice)...

I sort of/marignally liked Sahib biwi aur gangster and BHTP

The rest were crap.

Wow I have seen just one of your list..Zindagi na milegi dobara. N I watched another movie which was good... Tere Bin Laden.. It was hilarious. Wow I saw just one hindi movie in 2011..ZNMD ,I saw this year...

In no particular order...

Dhobighaat : Beautiful concept,real life characters, some out of the box direction- enjoyed the question marks and the blanks it left for you to answer and fill...Finally a movie that DIDNT require u to leave ur brains at home!

RockStar : Non linear narration, a cracker of a performance by Ranbir, Kick ass music by ARR sung by a true rockstar Mohit Chauhan..

ZNMD : Some fine light hearted moments which dont make you cringe, a feel good-touristy setting, good performances and a meaningful central theme ... Straight faced one liners from Farhan were the highlight for me, as were Abhay and Kalki's delightful performaces... and not to mention some pretty poetry by Javed Akhtar!

2/3 of my choices are by lady directors... and even Imtiaz has long hair...😆

I thought it was a pretty well made product it has it's flaws but it's a very energetic film. I'd say give it a go

for me the movie of 2011 was Sahib Biwi aur Gangster. The movie totally blew me away. Hats off to the director and the entire star cast. 👏

The others that I liked in no particular order-
1. Dhobi Ghaat
2. The Dirty Picture
3. Delhi Belly (only for my sweetie pie Kunal Roy Kapur)
4. Mujhse Fraandship Karoge
5. Shaian loved the edginess in the movie

Actually going through others lists- I seemed to have missed Chalo Dilli. Very entertaining wthout being pretentious. The movie shows that you can make a simple movie as long as you say a good honest story.

I also loved Rockstar but wont put it on this list as without Ranbir the movie is kind of mediocre. I watched the movie on DVD for the 2nd time and I was kind of bored. The screenplay is a big let down.
