Akki hurts foot for cola advert

Akshay Kumar was injured while shooting a stunt for a Thums Up commercial in Cape Town, South Africa, last week. The actor, known for his daredevilry, burnt his right foot and is undergoing medication.

Despite the injury, Akki is presently shooting for Priyadarshan's Bhagam Bhag, along with Govinda.

Pit of fire

The accident happened when the actor was riding a bike and had to take a leap over a pit of fire. The heat from the exhaust pipe burnt his skin during the stunt and he was rushed to a local hospital.

Says an eyewitness, "Akshay was on a speeding bike and his feet touched the burning exhaust pipe. Initially, he wasn't perturbed, but gradually, the pain became unbearable. It has left a bad scar. "

Kumar has been shooting for Priyadarshan's comic caper at Filmistan Studios. Says Kumar's secretary, Bali, "He is still getting his wounds dressed here. But he is a toughie and has been shooting around the clock."

Tour with Saif

Presently, the actor has been rehearsing with Saif Ali Khan as they embark on their world tour in the first week of April.

Titled Heat, the tour will see leading ladies Sushmita Sen and Celina matching footsteps with the men.

Says Bali, "Akshay and Saif are going to perform together after a long time. The excitement has taken away the pain. Initially, he was limping, but now he is fine."
