Anusha-Riteish: What' cooking?

MTV veejays Anusha Dandekar and Rannvijay Singh are no longer a couple. Last year, they admitted they were seeing each other. A few weeks ago, they parted, with neither denying the break-up.

Eyebrows were raised when Anusha sat next to Riteish Deshmukh at the Stardust Awards in January. "It's ridiculous to ask if there is something on between Riteish and me!" she said then.

"Just because I was spotted with Riteish at an event does not mean anything. I have known Riteish for a long time. In fact, we are an entire group of friends," now says a defensive Anusha.

Rannvijay admits Anusha and he have not been together on the party circuit of late.

"Yes, we are not hanging out together. For a while, we were all over the place. Now, we have decided to get grounded. We are still very young just 23 and 24. We have to sort out our professional lives first. There are lots of other things to do on the work front."

He is "cool" about Anusha being spotted with Riteish. "She knows him; they are both Maharashtrians," says Rannvijay, who now hosts World Chart Express on MTV. "There were no rules to follow for both of us, nor were we bound to each other. We are now focussed on our professional lives. You should ask Anusha about it."

Anusha's reply comes quick. "I would not like to say anything on this subject. I don't like talking about my personal life, especially my relationships. I am not at all comfortable."

Giving it time

We remind her of an interview to HiTLIST, where she said, "apart from being my boyfriend, he's (Rannvijay) my best friend. I can discuss everything under the sun with him." So is their relationship off now?

"Rannvijay and I share a perfect understanding. We are busy with our work," says Anusha. And Rannvijay says, "Perhaps in three to four months, everything will be clearer. Right now, we are giving each other time. And yes, we are still friends and talk to each other."
