Bollywood star Kareena Kapoor has decided to part ways with director Harry Baweja. She will not be starring in Baweja's forthcoming film Love Story 2050. The film, which was announced two years ago, is supposed to be the launch pad for Baweja's son Harman. "I am not doing Love Story 2050 any more. My producer and I have decided that it's better for us to part ways," confirms Kareena, from Dubai.
The actress was signed two years ago to play the romantic lead opposite Harman (who Kareena claimed was a Hrithik Roshan look-alike). But now after waiting for two years, she has decided to opt out of the film. "I don't have dates available, any more," she says. "Harry Baweja delayed the film for two years. Besides, he wants to make a sci-fi for which he needs bulk dates from me. But I can't afford to give bulk dates now as I have already committed my dates to Vishal Bharadwaj and to Farhan Akhtar, for Don. There's no bad blood between us and we are still friends."
Incidentally, Kareena had shot a small portion of the film already. So, what happens to those shots? "It was just a mahurat shot and you generally don't use mahurat shots in a film," she replies.
It was also reported that Harry Baweja paid Kareena Kapoor Rs 3 crore for the film. "How I wish that was true!" she laughs. "I would not like to comment on the figure, but I have returned the signing amount to Harry."
But will she be acting in any of Baweja's future projects? "Oh yes. I have promised him that if I like the script and if I have dates available then I shall certainly work with them again," she says.
The buzz, within the industry, goes that Harman will finally get to work with his lady love Priyanka Chopra in Love Story 2050. Talk about true lovers finally being united.
