Excerpts from the Interview: Tell us something about your forthcoming release 'Sun Zarra'. The story is about Rohit who is a naturally talented singer and ever since his childhood he aspired to be a singer. He sets out for Mumbai from his hometown Bihar to aspire his dreams. Here he comes across Gauri Shankar played by Mithun Chakraborthy. He also meets Anjana Sukhani and falls in love with her. The film is basically about him, his problems, misunderstandings in the city and what happens to him there. Did you like your character in the film? It is my second film and I had to render quite a challenging role here. My character has many shades and I needed to emote them to the best of my ability. From a humble small town boy he changes his behavior in the city. I had learnt a lot from my first film and evolved with my acting here. I hope the audience likes me in this film. How was it working with Anjana in the film? I'm paired with her in the film. She is definitely a good actress and is dedicated and hard working. She is very pretty. I like enjoying my work and enjoying on the sets and so we had fun together. Rohit and I had been friends and have known each other for long even before this film started. We had worked together as assistants to Raj Kanwar. Rohit is a hard working and dedicated individual who prefers to concentrate on his work in the sets. We share a friendly relation and it was good working with him. And what about veteran actor Mithun? He is an actor we can look up to. He is really a good actor and is a great human being too. He is so much senior to me and I respect him a lot. He delivers shots in one go and that is amazing. But he has no hang ups being a senior actor and helps and guides everyone. We really got to learn so much from him.
We're lucky that we have got so many composers for the music of the film. Indian Idol Amit Sana also makes his play-backing debut with this film and he is a friendly chap. I liked the simple and melodious tracks and I've to say that Sandesh Sandhiliya has done a good job. 'Unse Nazaren Mili' and 'Oh Jaana Tere Pyar' are my favorites from the album. Are you doing the next Aftab pictures venture? Yes I'm doing the next film as well. The script is good but nothing else has been finalized. Work on the script and cast is on. |
