| | | | Fardeen and wife Natasha a few hours before the drunken chapter | After Kabir Bedi's 60th birthday party at Seijo's on Sunday at 5pm, newlyweds Fardeen Khan and Natasha, along with a bunch of friends, decided to let down their hair at the Sundowner Party at Sea Rock Hotel.
The Sundowner Party is a new concept, where you party facing the setting sun. It starts at about 4 pm and goes on till late night. For the newlyweds, the evening would not end in high spirits. It started off well, but ended up on a bad note.
Party-hopping
Says our source who was present at the venue, "Bedi's celebration ended at 5 pm. Everybody was in a very good mood. And since it was too early in the day to stop partying, the group of celebs decided to head elsewhere. Most of them didn't want to go home."
So they all headed for the Sundowner Party at the Sea Rock poolside — Preity Zinta and her boyfriend Ness Wadia (they were also present at Kabir's birthday party), Aarti and Kailash Surendranath, Adam Bedi and Nisha Harale, and several ramp models were present among others. Everyone was having a good time and would've stayed there till the wee hours of the morning had the unpleasant incident not happened.
It began with Fardeen excusing himself to answer nature's call. Says an eyewitness, "While Fardeen was entering the wash room, someone in an inebriated state was emerging from inside. The two men bumped into each other and a flurry of heated words and gaalis followed."
"The other guy was fully sloshed, and we doubt that he didn't know whom he was talking to. The situation could have got out of hand and become very ugly, if Fardeen hadn't controlled himself. Unlike the other guy, Fardeen was sober and he decided not to argue with someone who wasn't in his senses," the eyewitness adds. Fardeen avoided a fight
Another person present at Sundowners told us, "Fardeen emerged from the washroom, took Natasha by hand and left in a huff. He looked very grumpy while leaving the Sea Rock premises. It seemed that the man had also abused Fardeen."
When contacted, Fardeen did not deny that such an incident happened. But he refused to go into the details of what exactly transpired. All he would say, "It was a very idiotic thing and he was a stupid guy. I don't want to get into it all over again and give the incident any importance."
